I like that they're being a bit more creative with the villains this season as well. Not so much ridiculousness and here, seeing their own power go against them was satisfying! The villain screwing themselves over not due to hero plot armour, Lucky Charm ex machina or some other nonsense but simply due to the rules backfiring against them. Yes, please! More of this! (Not saying there was no plot armour because instances of none are few and far between but that was more regarding the heroes winning, not the villain getting screwed over on their own).
In that case, Pharaoh`s power didn't exactly backfire on him, but it gave him what he needed from the beginning: the truth. Ironically, the power of truth that Monarch gave to Jalil eventually helped Pharaoh to break free from Monarch`s control.
I feel like Ladybug should teach Chat Noir about the guardian/miraculous stuff that she learns. Since master Fu's time, only Marinette aka Ladybug, knew stuff and got more powerful and knowledgeable about her miraculous, meanwhile Adrien is just left with whatever info Ladybug decides to share with him AFTER she gets to look smarter for knowing more. Ladybug should have a meeting with Chat Noir, on top of their patrols, for some guardian stuff. So she could tell him about what she found out during this episode about Tikki's gift, and so Chat Noir can finally get an upgrade
and, you know, they could work together on translating the Book of the Miraculous, like Marinette and master Fu did in season 2. This could be an interesting long-term plot thread. They and Gabe could be on a race for more knowledge on their, and their enemies' miraculous. Think about the fight scenes that we could have
@@ShirShe27 speaking of knowledge. Surprised none of them ever flew out to Tibet, they broadcasted it on the news so everyone knows where it is. Gave just teleport with the horse while ladybug and cat noir can fly. Gave demands the guardians and creators to make a new rabbit miraculous which would break time most likely.
Although its sad that Alix (teenage) had to leave her family and all her friends behind in order to remain inside of her Burrow, returning only to her time once they manage to defeat him completely. I'm still glad that Ladybug decided to finally let her keep the Rabbit Miraculous and become Bunnyx, so she can keep on helping them against Monarch. But I sure hope maybe there's a chance that she'll learn about Lila's true nature as an evil liar through her Burrow and realize that Marinette was telling the true about her.
I like the hidden context of Gabe being a better father at this point in the narrative. He is dying without a guarantee that he can survive. He is trying to make Adrien have better memories of him before he's maybe gone.
Very true. Although that begs the question, why isn't he trying to introduce another parental figure to Adrian's life? It's all well and good that he's trying to be nice, but he said it himself in a previous episode. Him and Nathalie are literally dying as we speak, which means that Adrian will be left all alone. Therefore, why not introduce someone else that can act as a parent figure to Adrian, so that if their plan fails and they both die, Adrian isn't homeless. I mean I doubt they're going to pull the classic anime move of "Oh, I'm a young teenager who despite not having a job, is able to afford to stay in a nice house and always have money for snacks and going to places."
Best part of this episode is Plagg disrupting a adrinette moment by barfing up a hairball like an actual cat. So happy Adrien has his kwagatama now!^^ They couldn't have done that better! Also Tikki being like yeah. Sorry my holder is a bit of wack job.
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDennisFan Always a pleasure. Truly we are a rare breed of Miraculous. ADRIGAMI ALWAYS!! Lukanette cuteness, both destroyed for simple stupidity. Especially considering thee are dragging it out for nothing. The fandom has lost (and continues to) fans over multiple issues with series. I'm actually surprised it has survived this long into a Season 5.
I like it as concept, except for the fact that (as a kids' show), they'd probably want to avoid religious conversations--and religion is kind of a big deal for JOA. They'd probably focus more on the superhero bit and undermine Joan's motivations for joining the war in the first place.
Actually, there is Shockingly little security and protection around the artwork in Europe. Like, most things just have a "Please don't step over this line" tape. I had the exact same thoughts irl.
Actually the Paris museum doesn't have protection cause a few weeks ago these protestors threw food at a Von Ghou painting. This episode was good to show Adrien is really smart in some departments of knowledge & Marinette talking to the past holder like Anng to Korra did to past avatars for guidance. The time travel in this was actually done smart unlike the first episode
@@claytonharbaugh308 Climate change. It sounds stupid, but people find no other way to protest climate change than destroy pieces of art that have nothing to do with it.
it makes sense that he would have a good amount of history knowledge since he was homeschooled most of his life. Like one of the first scenes or the first scene of him in the origins episode is answering a history question that Nathalie asked him
Reunion was a ok lore episode in terms of looking back through a previous Ladybugs history and Jalil being a toxic social media spud just because he misses his sister made for some good context in terms of someone being affected by Marinettes choices from the beginning of S5 and even working with Monarch to spite Ladybug. I also hope that we see different versions of Previous Cat Noirs and other Miraculous users as well if we are ever granted such an opportunity and Hearing a Joan of Arc who was a Ladybug user was nice to flesh out how each user was effective in their time period. It was really nice imo of seeing Alix again and how she's traversing through time and even able go subtly help out Ladybug and Cat Noir when they need to and Gabriel can't even get a win even with his choice of 15 Miraculouses to lent out to his villains. Still a nice episode in an already solid season so far.
I wouldn't count on getting previous Cat Holders, that would require either Plagg or Ladybug telling Chat Noir what the Kwamigamma can do and we all know how good those two are about telling Adrien anything potentially important or useful.
@@michalelkin-bronner13 I did not know she had told him, I stand corrected. Was it a choice on her part or was it like the Rena Furtive thing where he basically found out first and she just dropped the info after being asked or confronted? Also, you have way more faith in the writers than I do. They kept from giving him a Kwamiigtwama for several seasons just to make Marinette look better from the looks of it and imply she and Tikki have a far better bond than him and Plagg, and they still haven't given him a power upgrade or secondary ability. I hope you are right and he actually does SOMETHING with it, and gets a powerup, and just generally gets some importance and respect through the rest of the series, but I don't have the highest hopes.
@@hunterknight5261 when he asked her who she was talking to she said she was using a kwamitwma so yeah she told him listen to it more carefully next time
The person who's been willingly akumatised most often is Chloe so it makes sense that's not illegal yet lol. The mayor would be obstructing it every step of the way because OOPS.
In a way, it makes sense that Adrien/Cat Noir has some equestrian knowledge, since it was revealed in Multiplication that Felix is involved in equestrian activities.
i also think its really weird that she's focusing on her lovelife instead of the actual danger, but, but- thinking on it a bit more- i think this also her way i just finding smthn that's within her control, like she already knows how hard it is to keep a relationship with her role as lady bug, so i think to her logic here, if theres someone, anyone who is a miraculous holder that was able to maintain a relationship. Then maybe she can feel more at ease that there's something that she can actually have without everything going to hell (which sadly we've already seen all the cases, on how she won't gain any sense of relief if she ever got into a relationship)
i just love that picture of Dark Grimalkin fighting an actual dragon. That was badass. Which also means Plagg wiped out the dragons relatively recently.
This episode, I feel like a lot of the failure actually was Gabe's fault. He gave Pharaoh a legit power and could have had him ask the book anything aka the identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir, or a zillion other questions that would have been helpful to him. ALSO, Pharaoh could have asked the book the true identity of Monarch before rejecting the Akuma. These people, man.
@@WafelixRox I mean you're right, but if Gabe wanted to be successful, he would have just taken the easy way out instead of trying to be dramatic. I understand why they did it for the audience's entertainment, but if they aren't going to explore all the possibilities they provide with the powers, they should go with a different plan. Idk.
i think everyone forgets what tikki said when she gave her the kwagatama, she simply states it’s created from a merged strand of each miraculous holder of that kwami. in order for tikki or plagg to get one of their hairs they would have to be more of a permanent holder, rather than just a temporary one like let’s say carapace or polymouse
I just realize, if Marinette got the charm from Tikki on her birthday, why didn't Adrien get his charm from Plagg on his birthday???? After video: um.......oh well I guest
I don’t think the writers would have Plagg give Adrien a kwagatama at the end of the episode if he isn’t going to use it And ladybug did tell him as Cat Noir that they can be used to summon the memories of former holders so I think he will use it later on in the season And I think he’s gunna end up summoning Dark Grimalkin the black cat miraculous holder who was in love with Jeanne D’Arc/Scarlet Fate
Not gonna lie, the fact they have Joan of Arc be a Ladybug is kind of a terrible idea to me. Not so much as a “historical people can never be used in fictional ways” (think Lincoln the Vampire hunter) but because specifically how they used Joan in this case. Joan of Arc was a young lady who led/encouraged her fellow Frenchmen to fight against the English, who they perceived as invading their home. When she was captured and then handed to the English, she was denied a proper trial and died under false charges. She was also a devout Catholic, and it was her statement of receiving messages from God that encouraged her to fight for her home. Plus, she’s also a canonized Saint in the Catholic Church, meaning there’s solid evidence she is in Heaven. So Joan’s comment about rather being dead than listening to Marinette's romance issues makes perfect sense, because the Catholic belief is that heaven is the greatest and ultimate good one can get since it’s perfect union with God. Marinette is purposefully denying her the greatest status Joan would ever know, all for teenage relationship drama that Joan would not care anyway about cause she consecrated her virginity as a teen. Not to mention Marinette is technically practicing necromancy in this case, which is a big no-no. I know this show is “for kids and shouldn’t be taken seriously,” but it just feels messed up to take Joan’s story and strip her down to just the basics we see here. Especially since the Kwami and Miraculous would have been see as pagan charms and not drawing on the power of God, which would turn away any Christian during Joan’s time. Side note: I really dislike Joan’s hairstyle. It’s not accurate at all to the French time period and just comes across as “strong wyman” to me, something Joan never would be.
It's not what bother me the most with Jeanne d'Arc. Religion is not a subject french people love so i can understand we ignore it in a kid's show. Today french people see in her legend something feminist and less religious. People often discuss about if she really heard voices or if she took it as an excuse to be able to do what she did. Just to explain why it doesn't make a lot of sense for the show to talk about the beliefs of Jeanne d'Arc. No the real problem is I feel like they removed everything that made of her, in reality, such an impressive figure of history to french people. Her legend is all about how a woman was able to reach, with her own strenght, a place that was kept for men. Here she just got a miraculous so seems like women need help from a magic artefact to do great things... Second her romance with the Kitty knight (forgot his name), why all women need a romance ? Especially Jeanne d'Arc !!! She became what she is because she didn't marry and had children like all women were supposed to do at the time !!! Last problem : her death. That's tragic but that's also what makes of her a hero.
I'm actually working on a fanfic where St George gets a miraculous. He is conflicted about using it for a while bjt eventually reconciles it as a tool. The ending I have yet to write has him renouncing his miraculous then going on to do what is written in the Golden Legend.
@@nikkibrowning4546 hm, sounds interesting. I'm still meh on the idea of historical people and miraculous, but so long as it doesn't deviate too far from the person and is done respectfully I'm sure it will be a neat story. I've actually looked a bit into St. Thomas Aquinas's thoughts on the occult and other prominent Church figures, and there's quite a lot more nuance to the whole thing than I thought. Which is nice, cause I do like fantasy and cultural stories even if some things are pretty wild. Hope your fanfic turns out well!
I don't remember much about Jeanne d'Arc's real story, but I think she (the real one) had either actually cut her hair off as a sign of protest when she went to war or was forced to shave it off after being imprisoned as she's mostly depicted with short messy hair in most pieces of media there are about her. (Feel free to correct me on my ignorance if I'm wrong about any of this, as I've said, I don't remember much about her story)
I’m with you there and also it’s not really reversed because like in seasons 1-4 both Marinette and Adrien’s “love” has always been one sided for one side of each other. Marinette “loves” Adrien and Adrien “loves” Ladybug without them knowing it that they are “in love” with each other without knowing due to the dumb rule of not allowing to know each other’s identities so it’s not really changed.
I thought there would be some reveal of new power ups or something, but nope, gotta go with good old "romance first, story? Meh" That said, i think Jalil's hatred and willingness to be akumatized is justified. He lost his sister for who knows how long bcs of Ladybug's mistake, and despite his father telling him Alix is willing to do it, whats stopping him from thinking his father also got brainwashed by Ladybug? Its idiotic, for sure, but its reasonable
I understand but do you remember that episode of dark pigeon that there was no new power up of the Ladybugs recorded in the book that Marinette was looking for since the past. So yeah I think we can't get more information about the new power up but maybe Marinette can learn the history and experiences of past users. Also if we don't get new information about her powers, I would love to have more episodes of the past users of Ladybug and Cat Noir and anyone else so many good stories about them to explore and sure it will be filler but good history filler.
@@chikebosah5714 the book doesn't have any miraculous power ups recorded in it. Ladybug and shadow moth both got their new power ups when they realised that the power of the miraculouses are "limitless"
Did Gabe forget all the other times he felt like throwing in the towel and calling it a day like in the beginning of "Queen Wasp" or at the end of "Strike Back" before becoming Monarch next? I think man needs to learn when to take a hint, give up, and just rethink his life all over
I don't agree with your opinion on Jalil. Alex is a little girl who has to stay separated from her family and friends without any school or anyone to turn to. Even if she "agreed to do it", it is too much to ask of a literal child. How can a father be okay with that? Her older brother is the only one protective enough to see the problem. Even if there's no other way, her family should be a bit more concerned about her
It's the same with all the superheroes. Especially Ladybug and Cat Noir. Fu had no clue who any of them are or how they acted. At least Marinette risked her life to save him, and she had a decent conversation with him (it still was pretty short, but yeah). But Adrien literally just helped him get up. And you give him the most dangerous miraculous out of all of them. Seriously, Fu? These are teenagers! What is wrong with you? They shouldn't have to carry this burden, and they definitely should not be trusted holding the two most dangerous jewels in the world.
joan saying “be this the kitty you are crushing on? look how puny he is!” makes me cackle every time i watch it 😭 one of my favorite scenes in all of miraculous just because of how funny it is
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Kwagatama can only connect you to Miraculous Users that had the Earrings before you. I don't think swapping them once or twice counts.
I think that Joan was going to get killed. Her Cat Noir uses the ladybug and cat miraculous to save his love, but in return of this wish a curse for the holders of the ladybug and cat miraculous aren’t able to fall in love with each other. Then they give up their miraculous. This is why Plagg is worried that another wish would happened because this happened before (most likely an idea he said to the knight cat noir) most likely none of them know this curse except The Past Cat Holder once Adrian is able to have a reunion with him.
I honestly would've preferred if they did actually die. You can even add another layer of tragedy to it where, despite Joan being in love with him, she chose her people and country, only for them to sell her out leading to her death.
Question: So idk if this is a stupid question that’s been answered but humor me-Obviously Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculous go together as opposites and even in this ep u see that Adrien’s spit-Kwami-this is the other half to Marinette’s. You could put the together since they balance each other so… What r the other pairs? Even the Celestial Guardian mentioned to the Kwami’s to get in Ying-Yang pairs and get back into the box in season four.
I think the unrealistic thing about this episode is that Ladybug has no means to communicate to Alix where these letters and messages are, and vice versa. How did Alix know that Marinette would clumsily find that message on that exact painting before she even hid it? How does Alix know later exactly where Marinette’s message is, if she didn’t also know what it said? It makes no sense. Just like Ms Bustier telling the entire class about Aldi’s Miraculous Adventures. Why tell anyone about that? Even Monarch didn’t know who the Bunny Miraculous Holder was before that moment. This just puts her into unnecessary danger when she gets back into their time, as she’ll always have to worry about all of Paris trying to swipe her ultra-broken miraculous. If anything, that decision kinda means that it isn’t safe to leave the miraculous with Alix anymore.
Cuz she could just find a time where she bumps into a painting, go a few minutes before, place the letter and leave. Marinette’s clumsiness was bound to do that somehow
What pissed me off the most in this episode is the idea that there are people in Paris who don't support Ladybug and Cat Noir. That whole idea would make a really cool side plot or at least an episode since we can see another side to the akumatizations and for people who actually liked the abilities and powers that Hawkmoth gave them; you can even have that some people blame Ladybug, and Cat Noir for all the destruction in Paris, thinking the akumatizations would stop if they just gave up their miraculous. It could also have Gabriel manipulating these people to increase the amount of akuma and make the duo wonder if they are doing the right thing. They do nothing with this though so...
No lie I like the fact that alix's brother blames ladybug for his sister leaving, yeah there's evidence that his sister left willing but grief does things to people, First he lost his mom and now his sister is gone, him blaming ladybug could be the only way for him to attach his negative feelings to a target, its not right but it is plausible the human mind is a strange thing.
I do feel Alix father should have talked to his son and tell him the truth and helped him as sometimes a parent needs to help their kid see and realize things and somethings aren't always easy when you see things clearly
I definitely agree with you. If the sibling you lived with suddenly disappeared, even if it were a willing departure, it would be natural to go into a dark place. This is also a nice parallel to Gabriel and Emilie. The only problem is aside from the first season episode Pharaoh, we as the audience have not even seen Jalil and Alix as a brother and sister. There should have a moment or two with the pair as siblings over the past few seasons to make this moment seem a lot more grounded.
@@nangbaby I also feel you could've had Alix father saying i know your in a lot of pain and i can understand that but Alix needed to do this as i feel this could've been a moment for him to realize his mistake in not talking to Jalil sooner
NOT THE SOCIAL MEDIA VILLAIN,,, ngl i think this akuma is thomas astruc's revenge against mlb twitter for clowning on him also using a magical artefact for love advice is EXACTLY what a 14-15 year old would do... finally some realism LOL
Omg, I hate when they do any episodes that have to do with time travel. The logic of the episode breaks when you think about it for more then 2 seconds. The writing has gotten better this season but a lot of things just happen because plot! Plot armor is too strong in this show lol
SmartyPants It's not confirmed Fu ever used the Ladybug. The reunion pictures are only for long term previous weilders who had a kwagatama and RENOUNCED their miraculous. If Marinette renounced Tikki, gave hir miraculous to Alya permenantly and Alya got a kwagatama, she could speak to an echo of Marinette.
I fully believe that Alya has some feelings for Adrien. 1. Alya has been encouraging Marinette’s bad behaviors with Adrien ever since season 1. 2. Alya has been mostly the one to get Marinette and Adrien to get together despite moments where Marinette is uncomfortable with the topic like ‘The Pharaoh’ and Puppeteer 2. 3. Alya wasn’t interested in dating Nino in season 1 until Marinette locked them up during an akumitization.
I think the notions of holder or wielder are a bit messed up in the video. For example Monarch is the wielder of most of the miraculous but not the holder. Similarly, MrBug would be a wielder of the ladybug miraculous. Holders are ones chosen by the guardians and legally recognised by the temple (in most cases, since again, ladybug isn't a recognised holder by the temple but only by Fu and later the other bald guy) So yeah, it's probable that supervillains who wield a miraculous don't make a part of the kwagatama memories, and both Mister bug and fu don't either.
There should never add time travel in this , snake is ok because have a limit ,just going back ... but every time , time travel is add , is feel so convulutet and almost stupid plot armor this show already have on top , and do she live in future ? just standing around until Gab is defete
Really, free time travel, as cool as that is, was a Mistake. Maybe they could have reduced Bunnyx Powers to.....Future Vision instead? Still powerful, but not THAT powerful that it completely breaks the story.
@@johannesseyfried7933 And the fact we can see other version of Bunnys , the show itseflt make it more complicate that need to be , it only took us 100 ep to have a story
The episode leaves a nice aftertaste of being high-quality, without being of high significance for the plot, but still adding some well-needed details and depth to the main story. I liked it. Talking to Joan of Arc was a much more pleasant experience in comparison to, for example, talking to with Chloe or Liyla.
I don't Like that Marinette is creating problems out of nowhere. She thinks she can't be with Cat Noir for some reason. Now she needs the past Ladybug to tell her weather the Cat and the Ladybug holders can be togehter. You can create your own story Marinette😮💨.
I would be fine if the Cat Blanc trauma was the reason but literally in the next episode she tries to hook up with the person who in an apocalyptic future told her their love ended the world
2:32 honestly agreed Tikki knows the multiverse and and I studied first grade level and she's college Doctors degree! Still, I know why multiversal theory is a glitch.
I really like this episode it was so much fun. I love how they made it so entertaining even thought it was mostly exposition . Scarlets back story was wow (that was her name as the ladybug holder :) .) I'm love some of the tone shifts this season I'm really like it so far hope it keeps up. yes not all of it is perfect, but it is definitely better then other season. Anyway that was off topic but yes her back story in the show was great. I love the fantasy story book style they put it in so cool. The villain was different enough to keep me invested, and ladybug using the book was actually a good idea. I don't feel as thought the resetting timer on the book wasn't too plot armory , because the villains wanted them to need to call Alex because if they didn't who would. Gabe needed her to fix his mistake of losing the time miraculous, so he would have to use the wish and her brother wanted her back because he thought that ladybug had made her leave. So I don't think it is out of character for both of them to extend the time, so that the heroes can do what they want them to do. Anyway I'm really hoping that they can keep this quality up because so far I'm loving most of this season so far. This episode is a 10/10 for me I really love it and hope this keeps up :)
I really wish they would dive more into the idea of public opinion turning against Ladybug and Chat Noir. And not just for a few episodes either, but for an extended period of time. Remember, LB and CN were publicly defeated by Shadowmoth when he stole the Miraculouses in the Season 4 finale, so it's not like the public thinks they're invincible. Personally, if I wanted to write a story around it (Albeit a more mature one), here's what I'd do: Ladybug and Chat Noir battle your standard Akuma/Miraculous Holder, and during the battle Chat Noir is forced to use Cataclysm on a residential building to trap/slow down the akuma. Seeing the injured civilians, the two heroes quickly dispatch the akuma and "Miraculous Ladybug" the city to the way it was. Having fixed everything, the two heroes leave to the gratitude of the people who had been in the building (Who have come out to say "Thank You"). As they leave though, the building is shown to have had a pre-existing structural problem that has been made worse by having been removed and then reinserted (Think having a ball on a slanted surface. You can stop the ball, but if you remove it and then put it back in the same place, it is likely going to start rolling.) As a result, the building collapses again, and a young girl who was wheelchair-bound and thus unable to join the crowd earlier is killed. Shortly afterwards, the girl's older brother begins a campaign to have Ladybug and Chat Noir held responsible for his sister's death and begins organizing Anti-Ladybug protests and general unrest. Thoughts? I've thought about writing a fanfic on this, but idk if anyone would read it. If it's something you would like to see, please leave a comment.
Eh I think you should change the reasoning a bit the building thing doesn't feel valid enough and ends up making paris look stupider than usual I think a better idea would be for the whole copycat episode to have more consequences the heroes are unable to prove cat noir innocent and opinion turns further against them when gabriel uses his connections and pr department or something to run a smear campaign
Wait...the reason why Marinette wants to talk to Joan O'Arc is due to romance reasons? WTF. Out of all the reasons, its romance, that is incredibly stupid. Going to skip this episode if that's the case, an immediate 1/10 for me.
Believe me you're not the first person to react that way about Marinette's reason for summoning Joan of Arc. I mean she could have asked what to do in the event that the majority of the miraculouses are stolen or if it has ever happened before but no, she prefers to ask about whether or not the Ladybug and Black Cat dated. Are the miraculouses age old tomes of protection or matchmaking tools to her?
Yeah, wasn’t Joan of Arc notably a virgin too? I’m pretty sure that was a big part of her “Heresy” trial when she was captured and executed by the English. I get that Joan kinda goes off on Marinette for this too, but considering Joan’s ACTUAL backstory, this feels like a missed opportunity to raise the stakes to a somewhat darker tone.
For real. Like last I checked, Joan O'Arc died at 19 via a fire and lead a crusade for ages, I doubt she had time for romance. Also can we just talk about the implications of her in their universe? Since she said that she faked her death, meaning that she was never burnt to death and presumably died of old age instead. People would've likely recognized her out of her ladybug outfit so does that mean that Joan O'Arc in this universe only led her crusades in Ladybug's outfit? Also did she still die early then despite giving up the miraculous? I mean in this episode she does look 19, so what happened to her? How did she fake her death?
@@bluebird1914 I think the appearance of her that we see in the episode is probably the memory of her that was preserved from her time as a holder but once she gave up the Ladybug Miraculous it didn't preserve any memory past that, only the period that she was a Ladybug Holder.

Think about the fight scenes that we could have
Ngl chat noir is extremely irresponsible so I can see why ladybug doesn't share everything with him
@@ShirShe27 speaking of knowledge. Surprised none of them ever flew out to Tibet, they broadcasted it on the news so everyone knows where it is.
Maybe or maybe trying to manipulate his kid.. eather way poor Adrien

I like it as concept, except for the fact that (as a kids' show), they'd probably want to avoid religious conversations--and religion is kind of a big deal for JOA. They'd probably focus more on the superhero bit and undermine Joan's motivations for joining the war in the first place.

it makes sense that he would have a good amount of history knowledge since he was homeschooled most of his life.
Yeah, I feel like this episode felt way too real.
I’d like to think that Gorilla just knows Adrien’s identity, likes he’s just blatantly aware of it and is just like yeah this is fine
I wouldn't count on getting previous Cat Holders, that would require either Plagg or Ladybug telling Chat Noir what the Kwamigamma can do and we all know how good those two are about telling Adrien anything potentially important or useful.
Clearly amazing 💀
Ladybug already told him what the kwamiigtwama can do and they won't give to him if he isn't going to ever use it
@@michalelkin-bronner13 I did not know she had told him, I stand corrected. Was it a choice on her part or was it like the Rena Furtive thing where he basically found out first and she just dropped the info after being asked or confronted?
Also, you have way more faith in the writers than I do. They kept from giving him a Kwamiigtwama for several seasons just to make Marinette look better from the looks of it and imply she and Tikki have a far better bond than him and Plagg, and they still haven't given him a power upgrade or secondary ability. this was a train reck..
I honestly don’t know why they didn’t hide the Rabbit Miraculous in somewhere inside the Louvre until Hawkmoth was defeated.
@@ysarmestr9198 ok i gonna say it i love you! You said everything i was thinking why all cartoon or anime versions of her had to made her be in love??
It really makes you think about the impact about the Ladyblog
yeah!
but it's still a bummer that we only got this interesting development 3 seasons after the clues were shown.
After the love square reversed I refused to watch the show but these reviews are so good. A great way to skip the cringey bits
Meh"
That said, i think Jalil's hatred and willingness to be akumatized is justified.

Even if there's no other way, her family should be a bit more concerned about her
Yes, he adequately worries about his sister. It's just sad that his family and his sister didn't talk to him themselves, but just left together.

This episode made me say plot armor, just plot armor that the heroes lost would be the outcome that should have happened.
I don't think ladybug would be able to see a Mr. Bug via reunion due to her never properly renouncing Tikki to Adrien.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Kwagatama can only connect you to Miraculous Users that had the Earrings before you.
I don't think swapping them once or twice counts.
Good point I always thought it was because he's still alive
Fun fact: joans first appearance was actually in the 100th episode of miraculous "emphemeral" when sas uses his power without a holder
I love so far they’ve come in the writing. I love your videos.
I loved this episode and I lowkey want more backstories to reveal!!
I know what your saying about them prioritizing, but I kinda like how they focused on there everyday problems, it reminds us there still kids.

It's not confirmed Fu ever used the Ladybug. The reunion pictures are only for long term previous weilders who had a kwagatama and RENOUNCED their miraculous. If Marinette renounced Tikki, gave hir miraculous to Alya permenantly and Alya got a kwagatama, she could speak to an echo of Marinette.
I wonder if Edward the Black Prince ever wielded the Black Cat Miraculous... and then broke it, and died.
I fully believe that Alya has some feelings for Adrien. 1. Alya has been encouraging Marinette’s bad behaviors with Adrien ever since season 1. 2. Alya has been mostly the one to get Marinette and Adrien to get together despite moments where Marinette is uncomfortable with the topic like ‘The Pharaoh’ and Puppeteer 2. 3. 4:35 no! the cataclysm won't take years to reach his whole body, it takes months but since he used the snake miraculous it's a few weeks!

I think Gabriel is being a good father becuz he's going to die becuz of the injury from the Cataclysm.
Personally, if I wanted to write a story around it (Albeit a more mature one), here's what I'd do:
Ladybug and Chat Noir battle your standard Akuma/Miraculous Holder, and during the battle Chat Noir is forced to use Cataclysm on a residential building to trap/slow down the akuma.
I don’t actually remember that the show ever mentioned Master Fu using the ladybug miraculous, the only two that I can recall him using were the turtle bracelet and the peacock brooch that one time when he was young. Please correct me if I’m mistaken.
The internet is a toxic wholesome place where kindness can become hateful faster then light.
I've been so stressed preparing for my mock GCSEs and this is just what I needed
Gorilla knows adrien is cat noir that’s why bro doesn’t care bout the light shining in the car😂
I really want ladybug to talk to cat noir and tell him how he was Akumatied before
Twice
@@craigpeoples9883 she doesn't remember ephemeral
@@pumbhax Fair enough with Ephemeral but she should definitely say something about Cat Blanc, she doesn't have to explain everything just that he got ackumatized and she doesn't want to risk it happening again.
@@craigpeoples9883 It will happen in season 6, I'm pretty sure. Their future selves (with UGLIEST character designs) come to explain chat blanc to them in the trailer. But I'm confused how they would explain chat blanc without telling him Gabe is hawk moth
@@pumbhaxNot sure why she kept it from him in the first place, his dad doesn't deserve to be remembered as a hero. And Marinette despite just looking out for Adrien, feels kinda mean keeping the truth from him. And if he is a senti monster not telling him how important that ring is potentially dangerous. He could accidentally destroy it killing himself or give it to someone else and get controlled
Can't see anything Joan of Arc related ever since Empress Theresa. At least Marinette can't cut a piece her hair off and keep it on a keychain.
Smarty Pants is finally living up to his name
Definitely with that history trivia.
Man season 5 awkward Adrien and marinette moments are giving me hardcore junior high flashbacks I really didn’t want to remember 😅😅😅
4:14 oh my god I’m so glad you are thinking this too! I’ve literally been thinking about this lately and it’s been so confusing
Still like the past Ladybug is the Miraculous version of the past Avatar from Avatar the last Airbender & The past One for all holders from My hero academia
I haven’t kept up with this show at all since mid season 3, you’re telling me the love square is SWITCHED now? How did that even happen lol
Now I know how Joan if Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
I find it hilarious that the miraculous, which is a Chinese artefact, SOMEHOW falls into Medieval Europe 500 years ago... wow.
Are they saying that nothing was happening in China during then?
8:52 so basicly.....🎵THIS IS THE GREATEST PLAAAAAAAAAAAAN🎵
3:08 well idk if you knew but there's these two girls that through tomato sauce at painting in a museum recently. so not far fetched they didn't have a case or guards.
6:46 Cause she DID 🙄
Also am I the only one who deosnt like the idea that they took Joan of Arc, a Saint in the Catholic Church, that had visions from God and fought for France and made her a miraculous holder and disregarding anything to do with the Chruch and her death, not only disrespecting the Patron Saint of France but also altering history for the sake of their show? (If they did that with muhammad, they would get cancelled immediatly)
I believe that the past ladybug we see is marinette's grandmother as her grandfather that ladybug looks like marinettes grandmother
Did anyone notice the Ladybug with dreadlocks in the background of one of mari's shots? I thought that was kinda cool
7:00 my money is on the trolling. She knows who they both are and how obsessed Marinette is.
In my opinion, this episode was decent. It wasn’t as good as Determination or Passion and definitely not as good as Elation(Exaltation). But I liked it
And it wasnt as good as jubilation that's a really good episode
Reunion was better than determination and Jubilation. Determination is gross because the statue scene is romanticized!
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDennisFan So that one scene defines how good the episode isv
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDennisFan one scene being bad doesn't mean the whole epiode is bad but okay was there alteast one more bad scene in that epiode

we can all agree that this season was the season of big brain gabe
I really don't watch this show but I do like your video's so i am here for it
Finally a season of Miraculous with good writing
Eh decent writing still the best the show has been
@@craigpeoples9883 oh yeah definitely also to mention that Season 1 had good writing
@@d-actionproductions650Yeah it was simple but charming
@@craigpeoples9883 that’s true
Do any of you still feel this way about the season now?
Its nice to see that the writers remember that Adrien and Cat Noir are the same person and that Adrien is actually a straight A student. He is actually pretty smart😌
Well you can be book smart without being steert smart or have emotional intelligence I not saying adrien isn't in those areas just saying those are all different areas
Really? My first thought was Scarabella which would be interesting, then misterbug, but yeah Fu could’ve wielded it during times w Marianne
