I came to Australia at 5 years of age from UK. Parents were 10 pound poms in 1955. Got citizenship in 2005. Had no problems at all getting it.

Campers are great, great family memories. If you make it down to SA, I know a lot of great places to park it 😊

Hello Ross and Sam, always manage to miss live stream and only find out when it's uploaded afterwards (love them). Meant to say hi long time ago. Why not to move to Aus by far your funniest video to date! Watching your channel because I want to move to Perth, husband has aus citizenship but is not keen, I'm currently stuck at IELTS for skilled 189 visa (currently taking the course to improve writing, got 6.5 but need 7). Thank you for creating the content you do (lots of similar views on the Uk). Happy you and Sam found the place to live that makes you happy😊

If your husband is a citizen, why don't you just get a partner visa?

Finally convinced the misses to go to western australia, after about a year, now shes as motivated as me because of the state of The UK, im trying to get a 482 (DAMA) As a truck driver my partner isca teacher and would make it easier to go on her visa..
But part of the agreement we have is ahe gets a year off with our 3 year old twins before she starts working out there.
Any advice you got for me would be appreciated.
By the way your videos really helped convince her haha.

Before you moved to Australia did you go there on holiday? Also how did you go about finding a job before moving ?

Hey Ross, really enjoy watching your videos, always find them helpful, and they give me a chuckle too!
I’m a Spray painter in the motor trade, and have a job interview in April as the employers are coming over to interview people, so fingers crossed I’ll be coming over towards the end of the year 🤞
I’m already in the process of cutting down my belongings and selling things.
I know you moved with your family, but do you have any advice for a single person moving over doing it as a Lone Ranger 😂 ?

Hi Ross, sorry I missed the live.... are you bothered by bugs/snakes/birds ?
It seems like such a big thing that frightens people visiting or moving here from overseas.

Never a problem. Don't go mucking around in bushes and you'll be fine

I have a question! Joined late on this live…
Can I come over as a qualified teacher and bring my family? My partner is 46 and is not on the skills list!

As long as you're under 45 you have a chance. Spouses ages aren't normally a factor as long as they're healthy

Hi Ross, we are in the process of applying to emigrate to western Australia, via a consultancy company - ICA. Not entirely sure what visa they are applying for. We are both over 55, Charlie is a builder, and I am a Solicitor. - I am planning on retiring. They have assured us they will be applying for permanent residency and we are currently going through a career development process but all has gone quiet at the moment and we feel as though we should be pushing them to get things moving. They have suggested a timeframe to get a visa is between 3-6 months. Do you think this is realistic? We are in the process of selling our house. In order to get either a rental property, or a property to buy outright, do you suggest we employ a relocation agent?

I wouldn't sell until the visa comes through. I've not heard of ICA but I'm not sure about any PR visas for over 55s being granted in less than 6 months. I hope they can deliver for you
