Yeah not ideal. It's a trade-off. If we don't slow the frontrunners down the camera eventually follows just one lonely marble, which is a little boring. I'm testing ways to more naturally bunch them without being unfair to the frontrunners.
Nope. Created in Blender, using its built-in physics engine. I build the track, set up the balls at the top and let them go. The only scripting happens if the same color wins too many times in a row - then I rerun the race to get a different outcome, to avoid the appearance of scripting. ;)
Haha. Not really, no. Sometimes when the same color wins many races in a row I will rerun those races to avoid the appearance of rigging. Other than that the outcome of the race is determined purely by simulated physics in Blender.
