Sheez, no respect for the uptight, overbearing, busybodies on this site. These people weren't here to commit crimes, just hike and enjoy nature. Good job guys and thanks very much for posting the video!!
A little-known verse of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land": As I went walkin' In the park last Sunday I saw a sign there- Said No Trespassing But on the other side It didn't say nothin' That side was made for you and me
Les Kamery Not private property anymore! There was a settlement negotiated by the Coastal Commission’s enforcement staff to mitigate unpermitted development that included grading land and installing dozens of water wells. The Cojo Jalama Ranches transferred the land over and also paid $500,000 to fund public access and environmental projects.
I did that "hike" in 1968 riding bikes down the railroad tracks. I was 17. Surfed Government Point on my Yater "Pocket Rocket". October perfection. Cowboy Floyd Smith dug up our clothes buried on the beach (had some weed in them). He delivered the stuff to us at Jalama with threats blah blah blah with his cowboy friends. Survived. What an adventure. I'm an old man now living in New Zealand.
My husband and I wanted to hike there too. He wanted to propose to me at the light house. We were told we could not go there. I am glad I at least got the chance to see it here.
Isn't that lighthouse off-limits do to the nearby Slick six? Don't get me wrong I want to visit that beauty so badly, but I don't want to break any laws.

@@boogieheads Waves were quite good as I recall
Thanks so much for taking us with you on your hike. We got to see some places we would never have seen. Let's have some more of the same!
My husband and I wanted to hike there too. He wanted to propose to me at the light house. We were told we could not go there. I am glad I at least got the chance to see it here.
Great video....how long of a hike is it....are you hiking south from Jalama?
How did you walk out there without getting arrested
Hi, is there another way (shorter) to the lighthouse? I keep reading it's on private property...is that still true?
@valiant8163 I think about 7 miles. It is South from Jalama

Daylit Inquiry Point Conception is to the south-east of Jalama beach, SLC-6 is to the north-west near Point Arguello in Vandenberg AFB.
How long it take you one way?
Maybe Chinca805 can explain what was "ruined" for anyone, let alone "everyone". And maybe not.
Did anybody get mad at you for going to the lighthouse? I read it is on a private ranch/owned by the Coast Guard, with no public access.
did this guy just say aztec ruins?? lmfao
100% you can NOT just hike there from Jalama! Private Property!
As long as its the below high tide line you can.
