The piano solo has been my favorite 30 seconds of musical joy for the last 23 years. I heard this song for first time in the shower, and before I even noticed i was dancing to it. It was love at first "sight" and it is still my favorite song. I even travelled to L.A. to absorb the essence of this masterpiece. Not disappointed.
As a novice player ( 1 year in and 52yrs old) i'm approaching this like the old saying "how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time". Thanks for posting this.
This part is such an expression of love of life and pure joy! Thanks for another great lesson, and of course thanks to Ray for making the world a better place than he found it!
You are the absolute best. I always found it frustrating that one of the best rock keyboard players of all time has almost no damn sheet music. This has always been one of my favorite bands growing up and I still get inspired by the them. Fantastic layout on your videos! I'm sick of all the midi cr@p on other channels. This site needs to be monetarily supported as well so all you cheap bastards (myself included) need to chip in. Let us all know how we all can donate so you can work on this more. Keep it coming. Can't thank you enough. So much fun.
Bret Flood thank you so much for your comment! It’s great for me to see that the big work is recognised. I did receive indeed some donations which I loved. I’m thinking of something more structured. But first I’ll finalise part 2!!! Stay tuned!
Of course we loved it ! Give us some more lessons! I've always wanted to buy a book "How to play Ray Manzarek's piano " or smth like that , but unfortunately such books don't exist.
To increase the "suspence" of course. ;-) Jokes apart, the mojo risin and the final will come in part2! I don't like to make too long Video as they are tutorials and many people scroll that back and forth, so it is better to break it in parts. Thanks for the nice comment. Stay tuned!

Want to tell you how much I appreciate your lessons! Rest in peace Master Ray, your craft will continue to be enjoyed for decades.
Thanks Julio, it's for sharing this music with people that have the same passion that I'm doing it.

This song is like hanon for thirds. Especially that riff around two minutes 😄. Great videos thank you!
I see we share the Hanon background 😊. Good that we are still alive after that 🤣
This is awesome. I've learned both Roadhouse Blues and Love Me Two Times for my band from your videos and am hoping to add this one soon as well!
Very very happy about that as this is exactly my goal. If you want to link the video of your band in the comments I would be very happy :-)

The video is just awsome, but why don't you continue the play until Mr. Mojo risin' ? Is the piano not playing anymore?
To increase the "suspence" of course. ;-) Jokes apart, the mojo risin and the final will come in part2! I don't like to make too long Video as they are tutorials and many people scroll that back and forth, so it is better to break it in parts. Thanks for the nice comment. Stay tuned!
