The convergence changing makes me think it's like a grandfather telling children "back in my day, we walked to school uphill both ways in the snow with one shoe". That just sounds like a fun way to vary up the encounters. Looking forward to the variations. Also looking forward to seeing the raid. Hoping everything is well received as a raid at every expansion would be fun.
A'ckschually Fractals also use the map repurposing technique in a much larger scale! Underground Facility, Urban Battleground, Swampland, Aquatic Ruins, Snowblind, Solid Ocean, and Volcanic are ALL in ONE MAP as separate islands. Meaning if you start one of those dungeons, the game just teleports you into one of the islands and the game loads in the proper assets for that dungeon (enemies, checkpoints, mechanics, puzzles, etc.) Its an interesting way to save up on loading time. There's a huge possibility that every fractal is all in one map and everything is already loaded in the moment you step into the lobby.
Get to the point prediction: Greer: Goop Bad, Healers bring extra cleanse Decima: Green lightning good, all other lightning bad Ura: Steam Bad (P.s Love how they were vague on the boss descriptions and then greer just blatantly has "Boon Corrupt")
Great idea to create different variations for the group content, allowing people to choose the difficulty level and vibe that best suits their preference or mood.
I like that they're adding content for the 0.1% of players. Even if I wont be touching that content myself. I wish they would do things for the other 0.1% of players, and update the starting zones to make them more modern.
I'm glad to see from the article that the normal mode is designed to be more approachable in the LFG. As a newer casual raider myself in this game, needing to join a Discord server or guild just to learn the normal mode raids was off-putting for me for a long time (I eventually came across some Discord servers). Although in my case, it was because I'm used to LFG raiding in FFXIV; since over there listings for training/practice runs are very common. This could do well for getting more people interested in raiding if this new wing turns out really fun for the average player.
The EPIC trailer summarized: *Leap Wars 2* 🤣🤣 Which is actually a bit unfortunate since they talk about how great the combat system is (rightfully so), etc but the only "gameplay" we see in the trailer is NPCs jumping. And jumping. And jumping. And jumping some more. Some specs have skills or skill combos that look so cool, especially when using a legendary weapon!! It would've been great to see something like that too a little bit, not just leaping or running NPCs and a sneak peak of a couple bosses. Show, not tell. Which tbf is something Anet has always been struggling with 😅 But I do agree, it's one of their better trailers. So at least there's that I guess 😂
Another nicely informative video. I agree with Muk's viewpoint on ArenaNet's raid development strategy. I have no interest in raiding but it is good to see how they are making content that is accessible to more players while still providing the hardcore sweat-mode that draws in views of TH-cam and Twitch streamers trying to do it.
The Epic Game Store announcement might be one of their better trailer, but it's definitely not their best. They will NEVER beat the Factions cinematic trailer. And, actually, they haven't even tried since then, moving mostly to crappy in-game footage from Nightfall onwards. :) [edit: "Guild Wars Factions CG Trailer [4K] [60FPS]" is the best version of it, IMO. Seriously, go watch it - especially if you've actually played through Factions and have never seen it before]
I feel like Anet is reusing too much content. Both the cryptis and the new titan spawn are reskinned old enemies.. they really have lost their originality since POF. It's sad to see the game slowly fading into obscurity. Let's hope some great mmo comes out to save us gamers.
Only sounds like an excuse to be lazy and re-use assets. The charm of the raids have always been unique and original enemies with unique mechanics and challenges. Now I'm going to jump into a raid and face the same boss that I have already defeated 200 times but this time is a bit harder? Nah, this is a big no from me

Can't wait for the world first race only to see 8 virtu again in every group
Glenna : So. You're in hock, you staked the Mystic Forge, and you tricked us into fighting for you. Have I MISSED ANYTHING!!!!!!!!?

GLENNA'S BACK!!!
IM NOT YOUR PUPPY
TOTALLY NOT MY FAULT
I agree, the trailer for Epic was pretty good. For me its nostalgic, makes me want to create a new alt from scratch.
Right?? It had the exact same effect on me. Just want to go back and do core the "basic" way all over again 🥹

The only hard thing about convergences is when the final boss likes to sit on top of rat lady and do AOE.
Considering how the bosses are different for the first convergence, it’ll be the same for this new one maybe with greater variance.
The Epic trailer looks really cool
Kinda sad in the last cosmetic scene of epic store trailer they didnt add a pink norn with that giant moustache 😂
We get to live through a bears fish story lol.
Stalker 2 releasing and a new guild wars 2 raid update?! Christmas came early this year
twitch drops? time to select a gw2 streamer to afk to :)
wait a sec, if theres three bosses for the raid and gree and decima are two of them then whos the third?
Braham the Broken
Braham, Scarlet, and Yao. It's like the Bandit Trio, except they're all detested characters.
There is an Ura tease in this video/article. She does stuff with steam.
Did you not dp the story??
They literally show us it's Ura at the bottom of the article? Did you even watch the video?
POV: you see nothing because of shiny effects
Hi, great video, can i ask if i need a janthir wilds dlc to take part in the new raid?
I would assume that you do but I do not know with 100% certainty since it is accessed via the aerodrome.
@@MuklukTH-cam Your mother's accessed from the erodrome.
Very high chance its locked behind the dlc like the previous raids
@@Unstopapple wtf bro xd
@@Lansver oh sorry. My laptop doesnt like to type out the a key. Aerodrome.
I'm guessing we can't enter that convergence if we don't own JW, right? Like with SOTO? :/
You’d be correct
@lostpotato8363 sigh i'm sol then, thx for the answer!
Years waiting for a new raid, and they give us a recycled world event... I can't defend ANet anymore
Hopefully there is a mechanic where you get a buff for letting Glenna die
D:
@MuklukTH-cam "not my fault. Totally not my fault."
Secret achievement, at the very least.

Hi
If I wanted to raid I'd be playing Wow...
