The 5th video of this series is not available in USA...I wonder why? Why would star sports block only one of the 6 ? Can you please see if it can be available? Thanks
Jha ji come back to India, what are you doing in USA, only one Bihari, a maithil brahman like you, Kirti Azad, was in the team. Now, there is not even one. Only Ishan Kishan but he is in T20. Do something for Bihar.
Lifting world cup at time when none believed in india and there was no money for indian team was really something ...anyway..dhoni is my most most most fav 🥰
The West Indies batsmen treated the final as if it were a net session. It was not so much a case of India winning the World Cup,it was more a case of the W I,in their overconfidence, lacking the professionalism shown by their bowling unit to treat the game with the seriousness it deserved. Fate has a nasty way of humbling you when you arrogantly dismiss the opposition, even if they are inferior in terms of their ability.
Rather than saying India won the 1983 World Cup West indies have LOST.The fact is we had a very ordinary team and the Windies had lost due to their lethorgical approach like how we had lost to Lanka
He's just jealous. Cant digest the 1983 loss. Couldnt digest that Gavaskar played him comfortably. Jealous of IPL and the fact that windies chose it over their country. A bitter mediocre old man!
@IITianProudIndian Michael Holding, jealous of India!?!😂😂😂. He was part of the greatest Test cricket team the world has ever seen or is ever likely to see. His team won everything there was to win, unlike India and Gavaskar. As for Holding's personal record against Gavaskar, it was nothing short of excellent when taking into account that there were always 3 other bowlers in the W I team who were just as good as he was. As for Gavaskar playing Holding comfortably,we'll,that's just more vomit you're spewing into the comments section. As Holding said,Gavaskar was a 'flat track specialist' and on such pitches most fast bowlers reduce their pace in favour of line and length. On quicker surfaces,Gavaskar couldn't cut it. This is why the likes of Graham Gooch and Barry Richards were so much better than SG. India only won the World Cup because the W I batsmen fell asleep at the wheel. They treated the match as if it were a net session and paid for it. What the W I did to India a few months later proved that neither Holding or any other member of his team were mediocre. Out of eleven Tests, including 1 dayers,India lost eight and drew three. So much, then, for mediocrity.
Holding bolwed very fast....and there team never had 4 fearsome fast bowler.....they never thought that slow medium bowlers could do any thing.....but those Indian bowlers were very skilled, great catch by Kapil ...... and we won
@@rishabhsingh7826 There was no DRS then. And listen, according to the rule, the ball has to hit in line with ths off stump to be given out, not outside, so even if it is coming in to hit the wickets, it can't be out. However, he can be given out if he is not offering a shot but here he is offering a shot.
@@NishitShukla All those rules started getting closely observed once DRS technology came in and it could be reviewed. Back in those days that would have been given out by any umpire - lbw decisions then were the umpire’s desicion.
@@nathanmahesh1 Of course they were umpire's decision but the off stump rule was there, here, it seems the ball has struck him outside the off stump, but a great umpire like Bird has erred.
The truth of the matter, the WI team expressed arrogance towards the Indians as if to say, ‘what are we doing with these schoolboys’ and as they say the rest is history. I am West Indian and remember it was the greatest upset in history in a sporting event. betting odds (66-1), but stand to be corrected. India deserved the victory - they were the better team that day

Mohinder 's bowling action takes the cake!
Looks painful when Michael Holding appreciates India. Maybe the scars of 1983 final still haunts him.
Still cannot believe we won 1983 world cup

Never seen Mr Holding appreciate Indian cricket much, not sure why 😂

May be you right or wrong.
But not told him mediocre man.

Looked like Roberts was not LBW, ball hit him outside the line of the off stump.
Ball hit him outside off stump but the ball was hitting wicket so according to drs he was out

You are like librandu searching error in India's every success .You should know Umpires desicion is final what ever it is.
michael holding was a loser. He bowled body.line most of the time. He should have been booked for assault with a cricket ball
@nariyo1 it came true :)
