The fact that Konner had to do the editing of this video made that ending montage about 100X funnier. Second the need for the redemption arc though. Get that man a one wheel.
Someone needs to extract all the positive encouragement and put it into an old fashion sound board app so you can play it back to yourself while you're in the midst of a tough round.
I love these videos. They are encouraging to each other and you are playing straight up with no goofy antics. I would love to see all of you play together, doubles or solos, with as much intensity.
I’m 4 months into this sport and traveled from Pensacola, FL to shoot New London. what a freaking course! Without any doubt, New London is harder than any other courses I’ve played. I shot +18 at Idlewild but played very conservative. I tried shots I shouldn’t have at NL and ended up +33. I will be shooting NL again but will be humble next time lol! Konnor, great job dude. You never gave up. That says a lot.
The emotional roller coaster I just went through watching this was totally unexpected!!! I was really rooting for konner!!! Great video!!! I love how y’all could tell Konner was getting upset and rattled during the first few holes but instead of y’all being negative y’all really encouraged him!!! Love that!!!
The amount of support they gave him is incredible. I've been in his spot and sometimes it doesn't feel great or genuine in the moment, but it's always appreciated in retrospect. Y'all a family!
This, for me is the embodiment of disc golf. Apart from the fact that this video is inspiring and purely wholesome (not some staged “random” act of kindness), you have a group of friends that are supportive of one another, fighting against the course. It’s fun watching Paul McBeth battle against the other pros, but it’s really an emotional ride to watch a relatable player battle against THEMSELVES with high personal stakes and his friends all rooting him on. There is little tension watching a pro get birdie after birdie. With this round each throw had me at the edge of my seat because anything could happen. This was great disc golf entertainment. I hope he gets another chance. I am rooting for him to get that one wheel and to also beat his course record.
I have never played New London but the course looks tough, fun, but definitely tough. I think he deserves another go at it. After his performance in this video and his fight he deserves it. Go Konner!!
