The only improvement I have seen in the remake so far is the characters, the voice acting, side characters death and the outfits, the rest is just feel more downgraded instead of actual remaking it And nemesis was the proof of it, because he was the main reason why everyone love re 3 and if they failed at remaking him then it just a completely pointless remake
All I can say is, thank god Carlos sounds like a person and not a caricature, now. Not having Brad get killed by Nemesis is still the biggest crime in this game to me. His only successful kill on a member and that shit gets erased in the remake lmao
What I truly hated about the remake is that they made the Nemesis more alien based than Zombie and/or tyrant. The consecutive transformations were really boring and boss fights couldn't have been made worse. Playing Resident Evil 3: Remake felt like one of those generic alien FPS games that bore me to death. The whole game didn't feel anything like a true Resident Evil game that required you to search, find and solve puzzles. It seemed to just direct you where you need to go which, to be honest, kills the purpose of a survival game to me. To clarify my point, it felt like playing a fancy PS4 version of Subway Surfers. I liked the fact they gave Carlos and Nikolai more personality. Also, the drastic change in maps really did upset me.
I think the remake aim toward more realistic scenario because nemesis mutated should be uncontrollable, nevertheless they failed to design more realistic mutated nemesis and fail to created final boss fight.RE2 remake did a wonderful job because if you look at mr x final boss fight,it is more epic and intense than nemesis final boss fight

@Cole Pratt "Way more" is quite a stretch. Original Nemesis may not be as horrifying now, but he was scary af back in the day. Dude was the only video game creature to scare me so badly once that he literally made me flip back on my bed away from my tv out of pure reflex. I'll never forget that lol. And my heart dropped when he broke through the window of the RPD. The poses of og Nemesis, his roar, voice and overall presence is something that will always be iconic about him. Have you realized Jill went into the rpd station in the original and now in the remake she’s like I don’t think so like they call this a remake I call this an accident

Right from the beginning the red flags for the remake were tossed at us. From the nonchalant way Brad just mentions how Nemesis is after them while moping around the panicked streets, to the fact that actual gameplay doesn't begin until after the beginning sequence that involves already meeting up with Carlos and his team right out the gate.. Right from the beginning the remake gave the impression that this was rushed and Ill conceived.
I totally agree. Hell, they left out HALF of the original! RE 3 (original) was the FIRST RE game I ever played--and it scared the shit out of me. The remake made me feel like the entire "team" half-assed their way through just to get it on the market. I remember the first as having so many puzzles to solve (and they were not easy, either). The voice on the original Nemesis was way more menacing, and I liked the fact you could choose to either fight him or run away. Also, it was freeze rounds in the original which hurt him more than anything. They weren't even included in the remake.
Agree totally, they introduced too many things too quickly (Nemesis, Brad and Carlos all within a few minutes of eachother) and did so more poorly than the original. There was no buildup to Nemesis' first appearance. He's not even in his normal form for very long before he starts mutating. The whole game is rush rush rush. The pacing of the original was so much better. And don't get me started on cut features and areas
I didn’t think the remake was good but after seeing it side by side I see how much it improved. The original was way too campy to be relatable today, so they had to.
I played both the original and the remake. They are different since Capcom is making a whole remake by making a different story because if they didn't, it would've remained the same flow from the original game like but it's more like they're creating a new RE3 Nemesis which also applies to RE2 if that makes sense. Both games had their own pros and cons like the new game is lacking the part where you can make 2 choices and enemies like birds and grave digger but as for me, I like the new RE3 remake. Both hunter gamma and hunter beta can kill you instantly if you're not careful which is more challenging than the original. Yes, Nemesis was scripted and short. What people don't realize is that they're all scripted including mr X from RE2, even from the original game. Yes, mr X more terrifying and a stalker type but look at Nemesis, he appears out of nowhere, he could outrun you or even jump right in front of you which the original game didn't have. He punches you continuously or stomp at you that could cause big damage or kill you instantly. If you think he's too easy then try playing hardcore, nightmare and inferno difficulty. However, I do agree that the game is short for a RE game which Capcom could've done better but as far as I've been playing, it didn't bother me at all. Tyrell and Carlos have been given a spotlight and it makes sense why they're the ones who had to go the police station because if it was Jill, then Nemesis would be attacking her at the police station which would give Leon and Claire a clue about Nemesis.
The remake could've been so much more, they couldve added to the city, puzzles, story and nemisis etc.. Which i think what makes people so excited for remakes. Instead what we got feels like a downgrade, a "Demake" if you will. Honestly i dont want to see anymore remakes if its at this quality.
The game is fun, but it left too much content out and it doesn't capture the original in any way. It's practically a 60 dollar dlc. RE2 remake, despite its lack of a zapping system, stayed true to the core of og RE2. RE3 remake gave us the wrong pursuer. We wanted Nemesis and they gave us Ustanak.

I feel like combing the best parts of the Remake with the Original would make an even better Resident Evil 3 because for me there are parts that I prefer or parts that were better handled when compared side by side.
The remake does have its virtues: above all, all the characters are better written and acted. I really like Jill's new look and outfit (that miniskirt and tube-top combo was a bit hard to take seriously even in 1999 when I first played the original game). The hunters were pretty cool and so was the whole hospital part (save for that reash of the RE4 cabin section). Nemesis' new design was hard to swallow at first but it did grow on me - too bad he quickly turns into a giant licker. The last bit in the Nest 2 was when the game truly let me down, since I very much liked the Waste-Disposal Facility and they were clearly re-using assets from RE2make...I only liked that bit where the hunters jump out of their tubes: it looked terrific graphic-wise and it was something that was supposed to happen in the lab section of RE 1.5 according to design documents I was shown. RE3make feels like a rushed product and it's almost like an arcade version of the original, but I was happy to play it. It still feels like Resident Evil (not as much as the remake of 2) and I am afraid we won't get another one for a long time: I hated the action-oriented games and I wasn't wild about 7. I'll play Village, of course, but I am quite sad the whole timeline and lore is so broken they'll hardly ever recapture what made the first 4 games (1-to-C:V) so special.
Why do people like the original "you want stars? I'll give you stars" line? I get it for YOU it's nostalgic but i only played 1,2,4,5 the re remakes ect but just not the one's with nemesis (except of course the re3 remake and i only know him from maybe one chronicles game and watching the decent movie with him and watching the classic re3 playthroughs) anyways i don't have nostalgia glasses on so hear it from someone not clouded by nostalgia, i. hate. that. one. liner in the original, in sorry it's just the way she says it is so BAD that a child could put more emotion and exhaustion and anger into that better. Atleast the remake made her sound more motivated and angry like nemisis was really pissing her of. The original is just... I don't know what it is but the new one wins for me. Sry for having an opinion btw
She uses the line during some moment when she’s luring him away from the subway train. You’re running away from him in and are still powerless against him. The placement of the delivery makes no sense and should have been reserved for the end of a boss fight. Any one of them would have served.
The problem we have with it is because it doesn't feel earned. In the original Resident Evil 3 Nemesis pursued you throughout the entire game. Uttering that same line. In the final moments of the game you turn the tables around and absolutely destroy him. In the remake why it's used as a throwaway piece of banter during a random chase scene which can be interrupted by the way. I will never understand why. The line in the original was very cheesy I will admit that but, it's considered one of the most legendary and iconic lines in video game history. Not the best but it was a memorable line. This line should of been used at the end of the game.
Am i the only saw jill Valentine carrying the mini gun in one arm in old resident evil? No wonder why she can lift the railgun in the remake to kill nemesis.
Plot armor my *ss. Lifting a railgun even heavier than her. When it shoots the concrete ground cracked due to extreme but her limbs and leg’s bones didn’t even break. She don’t have that muscle mass to lift that sh*t realistically. Plot armor gave her invisible muscles that don’t exist.
@@amornoro2076 something tells me that s.t.a.r.s had something to do with her strength, maybe she was injected with something that made her muscles withstand the weight of big weapons such as the railgun.
Capcom was smart by calling it a remake, because that gives them an excuse to change things, where as a remaster would have to stay the same, just better quality. Smart move on their part
This game is a reimagination, a remake only improve the graphics, and adds some things that can improve the story, but this doesn't mean, that they have to change parts of the story, that is a reimagination, because this game only has the characters and the idea of the story, but out of that, they change a lot of things of the plot.

For me,the best version of Jill, even better than the one from RE1 Remake.
@@TetsuroOda RE2-98 and RE3-99 were my first RE games, so maybe I'm just nostalgic for this Jill, but I've always loved the outfit and voice and character design. This isn't to disparage RE3R because I really like her in that game, most people didn't. OG RE3 Jill is just the most badass version
My favorite Jill va was re5
@@lillrice27 I never really liked her. She just didn’t give me the Jill vibe. A lot of people liked her though. Just not my cup of tea I guess.
The only improvement I have seen in the remake so far is the characters, the voice acting, side characters death and the outfits, the rest is just feel more downgraded instead of actual remaking it
And nemesis was the proof of it, because he was the main reason why everyone love re 3 and if they failed at remaking him then it just a completely pointless remake

All I can say is, thank god Carlos sounds like a person and not a caricature, now.
And I'm embarrassed to admit that I laughed at the "You want S.T.A.R.S." moment in the remake, because in my playthrough, I immediately got punched after she said it. I kinda invalidated Kill's big moment. Sorry, Jill.
Are you kidding he sounds like a white guy. He's supposed to be a mercenary from south america. Where is his accent at all? If anything hes more bland in the remake. Like yeah the original didn't have many scenes with him in it but other than a few scenes you see in the original most of it is how to get out of the city which is exactly how a military person would be thinking. We got a job to do lets go.
@@breathstealer5486 I dunno, man. That accent seems a bit too hammy. Like a person who doesn't have an accent approximating what they think an accent sounded like...

I feel like the remake of resident 3 is really short when i played it :(
Because a lot of levels were cut
It is really. I mean if can ignore the exclusion of the church and the park, it really replicates the same thing that happened to 2 in the 90s. 2 was the BEST (2make still is) and 3 was the similar but way too short sequel that only came out a year later. History repeats.
Our BIGGEST hope is a Code Veronica remake, cause THAT game is the true 3. Not just me sayin that, Capcom nearly made it so before cashing in

It was his city, i was just trying to survive in it. Remake Nemesis doesn't portray any of that imo.
Yep True nemesis (re3 original), nemewimp (oh no a bit of fire and a grenade and becoming a dog....because), they butchered him.
I will always love brads original intro. "Get away...POP POP!" Lol
Have you realized Jill went into the rpd station in the original and now in the remake she’s like I don’t think so like they call this a remake I call this an accident
But to be fair the reimagining made more narrative sense. Literally in the original Jill went back to just get her lock pick. Or she could have went back and had some flashbacks of better times making it show her vulnerability and sadness. That would have been great.
They cut out all the bs that didn’t make sense tbh if RE3 was longer it would’ve been the best RE ever made.

They weren't even included in the remake.
it wasn't too long actually. When you skip the cutscenes it lasts only 5 minutes. But yes, it was a bit annoying especially when you start over again.
The final fight with Nemesis scared the crap outta me
What emulator and emulation plugins & settings did you use for the "original" RE:3? Those graphics are awesome
Could be the GameCube emulator with the hd background mod
The Japanese PC port + mods is better than emulating most of the time
I played both the original and the remake.
That's why it's called a REMAKE.It wouldn't be a REMAKE,if it has the same flow and gamplay then it would be a REMASTERED not REMAKE.
finally someone can explain in details, love you man.
tbh i don't think it's better or worse, it's just different, people say like the originals were perfect, and they weren't.
Honestly the remake wasn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be.
It is that bad ppl make it out to be
no your right it's not that bad.
It's worst than what it look like...
You’re right it’s worse.
I feel like they missed alot of moments in RE3 remake, i feel like its a short version of RE3 1999
I think the line was in a better place in the original game but the delivery is so much more powerful in the remake
It's much better the original version, the remake version is a little boring...

I think you're missing the entire point why this game is bad

- the audio is "empty" while the original has different soundtrack and sound FX
- Jill is much more likable in original, she felt like a character that cares about others. In remake. She's turned into modern female action character where she's keep swearing and mad like a feminist

RE3 Original will be my best
Re3 old is really cool. Remake is eh..
nicholai's death is so cool on the remake
I liked Jill's classic outfit more
10:44 this doesn't look right it makes it funny.
When will you learn!? It’s more about when she uses the line.
Its the timing of the line

The best example of a remake is resident evil of gamecube
