While the passengers on the airplane were sleeping, he was shopping. But his target was cash from cabin bags. See how the officers from the Airport Police Division cracked the syndicate responsible for the thefts from overhead compartments in airplanes.

no offence, I think when the police question the suspect, I love the way he answer. like the police ask why he always go to a particular country for 1 day only, he reply by saying he love taking airplane.
No offence, love to travel by plane and stay only 1-2days in a specific city/country.
However, touching others' belongings without any permission and stealing are still BIG & SERIOUS OFFENCE.

Sebastiano 786 if you think of that. Why not you think that he is trying to sound out whether that china guy behavior is suspicious or not and whether he is telling the truth about helping passenger to carry the bags. He want to see his reaction after he purposely ask him the passenger name
Sometimes a police officer purposely ask you a lots of question at one go to actually make you slip your mouth and reaction. That's how they catch you.

The thief is poor but he had so much money to book a flight and a lot of money.
I can tell the suspect is lying to the police. I saw him taking other people’s bags in the flight to Singapore stealing their important valuables. He has to learn to be honest.
That's why I never put anything valuable in my carry on luggage. My valuables are always in my handbag.
Plus I hug my handbag tightly to my chest even whilst on trains. We may never know who those disgusting pick pockets are.
