For the fuel situation in Tacoma and Lincoln, there's an oil refinery in Tacoma and a Fuel production industry near Lincoln. You could have a cargo train or boat line going back and forth, making money both ways. You would still need to get crude oil elsewhere. Eventually you might upgrade this line to carry mixed goods between the two cities. Also, it seems you're starting to get slowed down because of the available vehicles. Maybe for like two episodes, you can put year speed a bit faster. Great video as always.
Good suggestion, I'll look into that area. I have the date speed set pretty slow so I can focus on detailing and not have to worry about years going by. This also allows us to fully explore each vehicle era without having to rush to set things up. But I am not opposed to changing the speed if it feels like we get stuck.
Would say when comes to the hills have a tank engine locomotive on the tail end of the long trains should help giving it a push up the hill and something they did in real life on long trains
