Your right about the throwing something that does not match the hatch, throwing something that stands out. I had day in the fall where I randomly decided to throw a clown color jerkbait and the Bass, stripper, crappie and wall eye were fighting over it. I caught multiple species and this is a clear water lake. I never caught anything on a clown color before but something about those colors just stood out. I couldn't figure out why it worked so well but it makes sense now thanks.
My local lake is currently full of 1" shad so I'm throwing the Hybrid Hunter which is about 3.5" and they are eating it good, big ones and little ones. I love the fall. It's actually still summer in Texas, today was the first day in the 80's in a while.
my best lure in the fall last few years by far has been an underspin. i think its matching the hatch but also being different at the same time with the tiny blade.
Great info Tyler, thank you. A go to for me in the fall the past few years have been little cleo spoons (silver or gold). They crush it on the drop and steelhead like them 2.
There he is !💪🏽 Glad to see your feeling better my fellow fishing friend. Another great bass fishing tip video. One of the very few educational channels. Keep the great content coming. Tight lines bud 🤙🏽🎣 …and hallelujah for all the pleasure boats and hunters getting off the water
Hi, how are you? Your channel has helped me a lot in this sport and obviously I am subscribed, congratulations. I have many friends in Mexico who are starting in bass fishing. I advise you to subtitle your videos in Spanish and you will be surprised how many will start to follow you. In Mexico, because of the temperatures, fishing is done all year round as if it were spring. Thanks for your videos.👍🏻
I have few cranks from Megabass in a gold and orange belly color that matches nothing in my lakes. For whatever reason, they crush this bait in the fall.
My wife usually picks lures according to how pretty they are. Last weekend she was outfishing me by a good margin with a 4” Morning Dawn Keitech Easy Swimmer. We have shad and sunfish baitfish. Makes no sense 😂
Went to the river today in between rains showers. It was cool so i didn't wade but just sat in a chair and walked up and down the bank. Caught a few. I was the only one around and enjoyed the solitude and fishing immensely. Caught the best ones on wacky and a few smaller ones on swim baits. Water temp 69.
Went out this weekend on a small local lake and only caught Pickeral, six of them, nothing else was biting and I threw a bunch of different baits. I did see some baitfish acting weird and spraying across the surface.
I have caught the biggest bassin the fall especially when it is cloudy with drizzling rain. I just kind of stumbled on this pattern by accident. I would be out fishing, and it would come up a light storm with light rain but I would just keep fishing. Now I will intentionally go out when it is raining this happens so often. Just one man's experience, your mileage may vary.
The back of creeks isn’t a myth , but it isn’t all creeks . Certain ones get more Shad and the bass follow . You have to do a lot of driving and looking to be successful. You can’t just go to any creek and make it work. Good topic !
Tyler Here in Georgia I’ve seen some small bait this time of year. Most people try to go down in bait size lures. When it’s the fall feed time it’s great! Stacked up. It can be slow also Especially on Lake Lanier it’s hit and miss. if I drive three hours south, I can catch a 5 to 8 pounder though lol have a great weekend.🐟💦💦💦 Your friend Dave
I was just watching a video by a well known pro angler, and they were showing how to do that, with a Jig. Black or Blk/Blue Jig with Green Pumpkin chunk trailer.
Fishing small baits in the “match the hatch” myth never really helped me much. A number of times in the fall I’ve been around fish busting bait, and I’ve snagged 5-6” shad. I’ll happily keep the big baits out in the fall.
If the lure looks exactly like the forage species to you that's not what the bass are seeing! Newer research shows they have 2 color rods, green and red. So a chartreuse blue back tuns into a white sided black back to a bass, according to filters you can use online to see without blue hues involved.
So a bass can only see 2 colors one of which does not exist in their natural environment and if your bait looks exactly like the forage the bass doesn’t see it that way…..idk
Ok...but color is color. So a red bait that perfectly matches a red craw is still going to match that craw. The bass may not SEE the craw as red, but the bait will still be the same hue as the craw to the bass.
If yer matching the forage colors, size, and action that is what the bass are seeing no matter what color they are "actually seeing" so throwing something a little different size color action makes yer bait stand out from the rest which will get you more bites
Hes made a video about this, im mot sure if he really factored that into all of his videos but i know he knows this info. But thanks for sharing because i know a lot of people dont know this, and sometimes i need a reminder lol

@@sergioferreyra3095 there's an autotranslate function on the YT player that should give you the option to choose Spanish.

Dude, quit telling everyone to go fishing in the fall. Trying to keep that secret to ourselves 🤣🤣

Love your tips. Slowwww day yesterday
Hallelujah!!!! 🎣

And it’s not so ungodly hot!!!
Go Big. Over size all your baits. Swimbaits to jigs.

I love fall fishing, but I usually switch to striper once they start moving more shallow. After Labor Day, the lake is yours.

Would that be a guy Named Randy?

Matching the size and using a different color or same color and different size can make the difference for sure with a reaction bite.
Hunting and football.
Glad i fish ponds dont have to worry about creeks lol

They don't see it the way we see it, but if it's the same color pattern as the bait fish then the bass sees it the same because it is the same.
