Absolutely and I’ve said honestly why I went back to the area which I know might be different. But it’s been a superb area to visit and I’m so happy to change minds. Paul
Me too. Ditton born and bred, moved to Manchester about 20 years ago, my lads still live in Widnes. As do loads of my old mates. Great video and thanks for sharing it 👍
@@pauljones401 I'm definitely going to look into getting to see it.. I stumbled on a video last year where someone was filming on wigg island and then, ( I think by chance) this Bore happened. It was really fast too.. amazing
I have done a couple of the bridges but yes i want to do Pickeings and Spike island. All I ever do is Wigg and the bridges 🤣 Stay safe .. @@pauljones401
@@andyairshots I’ve checked some out Andy! Did you really crash into your dog??? Think the high tides start of Jan and feb. I use something called tides for fishing but about three times a year you get over 10m at Liverpool dock and that’s definitely when one will come. Great to chat today and anything on that bore I can help with let me know. Paul 👍
Take a trip to Helsby again lots of exciting places even an old abandoned Water Tower hidden in the trees that is visible from Helsby Quarry car park or take a trip to the town park in Runcorn and see Norton Water Tower. Does the Tidal Bore happen a few times a year or is it a regular occurence.
Hello. Yes it is something I want to do again to go back to helsby and frodsham although I won’t be filming it again as I had a. cracking time there a few years ago with a film I did. As for the tides they are not common but I use something called tidesforfishing which gives the tide height very accurately. Thank you for watching Paul ps the tide is not often
@@pauljones401 I walk home from Forest Hills Hotel every Spring and Summer over Frodsham Hill, Woodhouse Hill and Helsby Hill. The water tower on Helsby Hill is visible during the late Autumn and throughout Winter in the trees it's hidden in Spring and Summer due to overgrowth Norton Water Tower in Runcorn is amazing as is the Town Park there is a miniature railway through the park that runs every Sunday
It is good to see someone showing the nice parts of the area for a change.
