Atlanta is really a...unique place. Being one of the only cities that has a large black/minority population of middle, upper middle suburbs like most white cities. It is also one of the most culturally diverse cities in America, It is a great place to grow up, being exposed to pretty much all walks of life in one general region: Rich, poor, white, black, latino, asian, jewish, islam, christianity, etc. You grow up with a pretty realistic look on the world here right off the bat.. The city is one of the biggest influences on music, sports, and the civil liberties we all enjoy and benefit from today all around America. The city is still growing to this day. Even though it is not perfect (like fucking Singapore or some shit) It is almost the polar opposite of what northern black cities like Detroit, which seems like it's forever deteriorating. Funny how the world works.The black cities in the "racist south" seem to be doing far better than the black cities in the "liberal north".

Atlanta is the first city in the US to have housing projects. I miss the old Atlanta. Look up a map of Atlanta from 1903 an if you don’t see the street you grew up on or a major street near you, you’re not from Atlanta.
