- Here I am again still amazed at how popular this video is. I stop trying to upload and/or edit videos long ago. I thought this version sung by Ronan Keating was very special then. Of course I never stopped loving this, and it appears many of you love it also. Thanks for your views. Luckily the copywrite owner is happy and has allowed this to stay up here. I receive nothing financial, only views. now 2021 here.
Well it has been a long time since I uploaded this video. Now it is over 200 thousand views. I hope everyone who has viewed this has something good going on in their life right now. May the world, and especially the world around you be filled with peace and joy. May you love and be loved--and teach others to do the same. Just a beautiful song I ran across by Ronan, and I forget who I favorited on this, but glad I did. I only had a download program for a week or two, but really don't need to download and upload to my channel as everyone else uploads so many beautiful things. Peace and Love to you!

I don't know how Ronan Keating does it? He is a well-loved ultimate cover artist across the globe. Unlike other cover artists that don't make it in the big-time music industry or just the flavor of the month unless they have their own original songs.

The absolute Best non-Karen interpretation of this unforgettable classic. She was at such a high level, whoever imagined a guy singing this could do it such justice? He put his soul into it & it's obvious how much the ensemble respected playing this brilliant arrangement.

The more I listen, the more this grows on me in a good way 👍! The entire song was nicely delivered & thankfully not oversung. He didn't try2B a "Carpenter", but effectively made it is own & pulled it off. Few great singers have this talent. Whitney & Barbara come to mind. They took a song & did their best to oversing it; kill it live, tryin2 show off their skills, as if we needed to know? Ronan again, beautiful job of an unforgettable classic by the greatest female vocalist of our time.

This is much better than I expected frankly - because Carpenters' version is still the benchmark and is one of my favorite records ever. He sang it pretty straight without vocal acrobatics, a rarity for post 1980's pop - nice phrasing too. And of course when you start with a Paul Williams/Roger Nichols song, good things *can* happen. Very impressed.

Sorry everybody but this is NOT a Carpenters original song. It was written - and first recorded - by songwriter Paul Williams. Rainy Days And Mondays was another Williams original.
