Opie's in good form here. And the more I listen to Otto, the more I realize that his form of comedy is the purest. He's not trying to crack wise or make others laugh. He's talking about life and it happens to be witty.
opie in good form for sure...i cant help but think opie's energized because Anthony is out nothing personal but Anthony began to represent the barrier between Opie and his show in his mind...jimmy in exceptional form so many beheading references
Otto ruled! He was the best comic. His actual act barely changed over 30 years. If you saw him once, that was basically it. He was best without the puppet. While George was great, I prefered interviews like this with just Otto being his natural dark curmudgeon self.
I couldn't agree more, he was just a natural comic genius. These shows with him are absolute gold! Recommend any other interviews? I've heard him interviewed by Rob bennington and jay mohr. 🍻 RIP Otto
11:00 they called otto old for saying truancy the same year I got charged for truancy in the 9th grade (yes, by a court of law, my school actually took legal action because I skipped chinese class the day before spring break)
Ya it's weird. Its probably just someone new who hasn't heard Opies stories and stuff like that so he sounds more interested than Jim or Anthony and that makes Opie sound more interesting. But what do I know though, I get my container of coffee and go to work.
variansv There's probably some of that going on. I also think that Opie identifies better with people who've had dysfunctional childhoods. His natural interviewing skills seem to shine with messed up people like Otto, Fez, or Joe de Rosa.
can't find it on TH-cam......but one time Otto & a bunch of comedians were in studio & they were telling hard luck stories.....they went around the room & Every Single Of Them were High School Dropouts.....that's like the #1 trait of great comedians.....high school dropout, loner, reinvented themselves.....
14:55 Literal Otto is so adorable. Just a genuine, unpretentious guy he was. R.I.P.

I know right. im so mad that I never knew him when he was alive. I would of definitely travelled to see him RIP Otto

Opie kept stepping on people tho. I wish he would just stand back once in awhile.
That is how bad Opie was, when is did a good or ok job it’s news 😆
Say form again
Happy Birthday Otto. May you rest in peace.
To whomever does the Nopie edits, could you please do that with all Otto appearances
Who ever that guy is he is a hero
This would be a hard one to do that with though.
Wow Otto is amazing. Just his intuition about education speaks for itself
I really appreciate how if Otto doesn't know a word he just fuckin asks "What does that mean?" Fuckin Legend.
Otto: how far did you go in college Opie?
Opie: All the way and I’m the dumbest in the room
...Amen, brother man.
And the richest....

so true
Imagine having a cool tall glass of fresh water and then dirt is poured in.
That’s Opie.

Opie does a FANTASTIC job interviewing Otto.

Kenny seemed to always b a prick to Otto. A few episodes I've noticed it. Oh well.
Otto and Kenny loved each other. They picked on each other. Kenny is still very good to me. CSK is an amazing human being.
