    Good Video my brother, clean explanation. I can pop an ollie randomly, but when it comes going over an object, I either hesitate and pop late or I dont commit to it. Sometimes I think pop even too early. Its hella annoying, any advice ?

      Thanks for nice words. If you are not 100 percent with your ollie, I would practice to ollie up a curb or maybe 2 stairs because you only need to ollie up and the surface kind of help to level out your board and it will also force you to pop on time otherwise you not going to able to ollie up. When you are comfortable with that you will realise you can ollie over things easier because you practiced the timing and you will have more confidence. Also when you practice your ollie try to pop little but focus on the front foot nicely guiding you board. Keep pushing and enjoy🛹🤛

    The weird thing is, i can ollie while skating, but as soon as there is an obstacle my mind just shuts off and forgets how to ollie

    your tutorial was wayyyyyyy better than other tutorials like braille skate boarding
    because they tell u how to do but u tell us the issue for a real skater.

    I learned to ollie up curbs and over a rail and I was soooo excited and happy. But after my wheels clipped a few times it feels like I can’t commit anymore. Until I build my confidence back up and get my timing right I’m back to practicing ollies over cracks in the sidewalk 😭

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well don’t worry about too much look at the bright side you are going to be way better at your ollies and when you feel comfortable again to Ollie up a curb you might be surprised how good your ollies and your balance when you roll away smoothly. Just have fun 🛹

      Maybe just try to Ollie over something smaller and that will help to judge the distance and when to pop and as always practice makes it easier so make sure you keep 🛹 and soon you will clear whether you are trying🤛

      I got the same problem

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it might be the problem with your timing and you might not fully committed to jump over the obstacle and land on your board. I reckon the best thing is to find something smaller to ollie over and make sure you practice, practice and some more to make it perfect or just enjoy ollie without anything but just little ones to make sure you have your timing right. Also slowly increase your speed when you are practise your olllies and I'm sure you will be able to ollie over that thing you are trying.

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would recommend to you the same, just practice your ollie without anything and very little ones but focus on the timing. Pop a little and drag your board up a follow with your front foot and follow through jumping with your back foot. Just little ollie but perfect movements and perfect landings and take it from there.

    The whole part of looking at the object before doing the ollie is what brakes me down. I feel like I loose my balance because I end up leaning backwards as opposed to a regular ollie where i can keep my weight over my board if I look at my feet the whole time.

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well as long as it works for you to look at the board instead of the obstacle then just enjoy it that way. Everyone is different so we reach the same goals in different ways. Have fun 🛹🤛

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you are only skating for a month so don’t worry you will do it soon. Just try it at least 100 times and I’m sure you will be over that stick soon. Make sure you practice the things you are not good at otherwise will be harder to learn new tricks. Have fun 🛹🤛

    Very Good Video, helps a lot ! I still have one question : when i try and ollie over something i jump off my board or just dont slide with my foot but when i do it just in rolling everything is fine, any advice ?

    • @ObjectBarns
      @ObjectBarns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess you are still not 💯 sure you are going to make it that’s why you can’t commit. Just try something very little nothing higher then your wheels and practice on that a lot and also try to Ollie up stuff because that’s kind of safe landing but you have to Ollie the same way as over something. I’m sure you will be fine after a week or two. Have fun 🛹🤛
