You girls really make me laugh, in a good way, I was 15 when this was out and they are to blame for us boys not having girlfriends at that time, we just couldn't compete, still brings back great memories though, 51 now but will never forget.

RIP Les Mckeown . Am a huge Bay City Rollaers fan since 1975 and I was 19 at the time but had their first record album December 25th 1975 as a gift from my parents they thought I might like them so bought the record that had Saturday Night on it and man oh man I was hooked after that !
My Teenage Heart reminded us of our adolescence. Leslie McKeown's singing voice gave us hope and dream. The news of his sudden death astounded us. We heard about the news of his death and it is very unfortunate. We pray that his soul may rest in peace.
Oh my. I remember our local haberdashery in southern Tasmania did a roaring trade in tartan between 1974 and 1976. We turned everything to tartan, including our guitar straps! And this song, along with a couple of others about teenage love, was spot on in our little valley culture, as we were pairing up and marrying very young. We would come to high school with our engagement rings. So when the Rollers tend to cringe about these earlier songs of theirs, I just remember how well they fit in with that sweet and romantic culture that has long gone.
Another happy, switched-on performance by the Rollers in full Rollers' gear! I wonder where all that fabulous gear went; they had so many changes.
