So sad to hear we're not getting themed waves in the future. Expecially since we only need one more AoA wave to get all the main characters: BAF Holocaust, Gambit, Havok, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver, Storm, Sinister, Bishop. In my opinion waves should be based on single theme instead of random characters.
Its hard to tell from your video, but the body proportions look better on this figure than the other Magneto figures. The classic and the black n red figures you had standing to the left and right both have "old man" legs that are slightly too small for the body.
Its the best one having them in hand but I need a purple cape 😆
That's the first thing I noticed when he had them all on display. Recently, the proportions have trended towards stocky.
My favorite version of Magneto! Just ordered the Mafex version from BBTS yesterday and can't wait to get this whole wave as well!
Because I grew up watching X-Men Evolution, I personally would like a few sets from that show; or at the very least, a single figure of Evan Daniels (AKA Spyke). I Really just want a figure of him.
It'd be awesome to have him in his uniform, with a backport for a shoulder-wrapping clump of spikes; so you could have him casual without (maybe with a skateboard accessory), or in battle with the spikes sticking out of his back (at a spike spear accessory).
Maybe I'm just dreaming. lol
I only have the House of X Magneto and I really like it, it's a cool outfit but this AoA Magneto is my ideal Magneto. I believe an image of him from that story line was the first image I've ever seen of Magneto from the comics when I was a kid and I've loved it ever since. I think I saw it in the pages of my older brother's X-Men comics. Classic Magneto is so good but, for me, this is my Magneto. I only wish he at least came with that helmet head that came with the Red Onslaught BAF so we could have that awesome look of his face completely covered in the shadow of his helmet
Black suit Magneto is my favorite to date. Never read the associated stories, but it’s a good look
Another detail about the helmet that is missing I noticed is that in the comic, his helmet has purple lines on the back that form a “M”. Very random and doubt many will even realize that as I don’t recall many panels where he’s got his back to the reader. Noticed it completely at random.
I really like the black and red costume for Mags which is the figure I have. Minor gripe, the bottom of the cape looks a bit odd on the black one.
The classic costume is great but the figure is a bit off. Same goes for the white one, looks good in the comic but they skipped detail on the figure i.e. ribbed panels on his thighs are missing.
The new figure looks good but the red cape red costume blends in a bit.

It took a while, and a LOT of luck, but I’ve FINALLY acquired every AOA WAVE (not every AOA character, as in those randomly in other waves) figure! Well, all but Apocalypse himself, however I know where I can pick one up, just have to get the money together.. Rogue was easily the HARDEST to acquire. Ended up having to order her from Best Buy, which took almost 3 weeks, but not once did I find Rogue in the wild in that entire time. Most of this wave was acquired from a local Walmart as one random visit, they must have just received a single box and stocked it. I had just paid for Shadowcat and rogue at GameStop, so I spent everything I had on me to afford each character minus the ladies, despite wanting them most, but I anticipated getting them in a few days. Nope GameStop sent a message that Shadowcat was delayed and another email that had A BLANK SPOT and no item number on what should have been my Rogue order. Had to jump thru hoops and only got a gift card and wasn’t able to re-order Rogue as it was listed as sold out. Went back to Walmart and they were already gone. But FINALLY completed this wave :)

AOA Magneto The Best Magneto Figure
Ima be honest, X-men are my least favorite waves but I do still enjoy them I just like the other ones more. However this wave is really nice, just don’t care for rogue, or shadowcat. Really like this magneto, love the hair. I do hope they start making new effects for characters like him instead of those forearm wrap ons
My older Magnetos are in storage. Can anyone tell me if the unmasked head from the black suit will fit the new red suit one? I’m not a fan of the long haired Magneto.
My favorite figure is the jubilee wave. Better face sculpture and better paintin.
I started reading US issues (German issues before but they were a hot mess in terms of translation due to shrinking the format to pocket book size) with the start of X-Cutione's song. When the AoA was anounced I was "No fucking way, I don't want this!". 2 Months in I didn't want to go back to basic reality.

AOA Magneto doesn't have the purple horn thing... that's only on 616 Magneto. The back of that TPB got it wrong (not surprising... it's a small detail and that artwork was made much, much later... long after the actual story came out). In the AOA, the horns are red. Same as the cape. Other than the hair, that's really the only differences in design between the two. I remember back in the day, I thought that was really lazy and a total missed opportunity from the writers and artists, ESPECIALLY with how creative and original the rest of the AOA character designs were (my top 5 personal favorites were Weapon X (Wolverine), X-Man (Cable), Colossus, Sunfire, and Gambit (the caped one, not the jacket one... throwing blades just make more sense than playing cards, anyway). They could have done something quite amazing, but they didn't.
Age of Apocalypse is hands down my number 1 favorite Marvel event ever. I would give my left nut for a faithful adaptation of that story as either live action movies, animated series (it would have to be, because there is simply too much story to fit into even a 4 hour long movie), or a video game (X-Men Legends 2 doesn't count, even though it was close in concept... I want to see motherfuckers dying left and right, like in the actual story). I know how unlikely that is, but I don't care. That's what I want dammit.
That being said, this Magneto's head is simply not doing it for me. There is something off about it, and the MAFEX one simply looks better proportioned, as well as better detailed. I'm going with the MAFEX version instead. No big loss, since this Mags doesn't have a BAF part anyway. I just don't know what it is about the head... but it's going to bug me until I figure it out.

The AoA is by far the best Magneto! Although I prefer the classic look, I think the figure is really ugly, with short legs, big creep head ! I think Hasbro could realease a nem classic Magneto in the retro line, but please dont do it exclusive, and give oportunity to more people to have it, without the scalpers!!!
Those horns are suposed to be red. You’re comparing it to wrong art. Look at the Astonishing X-men run of Age of Apocalypse.
I was just about to say because the Mafex Magneto has the same thing with the artwork on there being the color red as well.
@@cmbrock1 Age of Apocalypse is my favorite comic run ever. Know it inside out 😁. So it “hurt” me when he said it was wrong, while it’s right. And I also need that Mafex version in my life 😁.
