This should be our last little cold dip. I went with the early tomatoe and green beans. Luckily they're in pots atm. Appreciate the videos. I would also add that mulching will also help stabilize the roots vs cold.

I hope so, but last year, we got blasted by two more cold shots in April. I seem to remember Raleigh getting a frost in MAY that caused devastation last year! My low tomorrow night is 42, and I see a 44 degree low forecast last week that can easily be revised down. Our springs have been getting colder and colder.

Still trying to find the plant cover products you specifically recommend. We're trying to protect from hard freezes not just frost so would appreciate your source. We've done as you've done for years with the lights and it does work... Just getting colder past few winters. Oh we also use your black trashcan compost idea and will be moving them next to citrus as you show here! Great idea!

Please add the frost cover weight. That helps.

That's going to depend on how much protection you need. Heavier weights = more protection but less light penetration. You have to balance that out. That is an individual decision based on your location, what you're growing, its light and temp requirements and the severity of the temperatures. There is no one size fits all solution.

@@2MinuteGardenTips yes the current establishment is trying to pass a bill that would allow litter boxes in schools for Human children who think they are animals to use instead of a toilet. Did you know that? Sick world!
