    I've been using the little green nippers for 6 months. They have held up well. I have used them for trimming from seedlings, to pot plants, to deadheading roses, vegetables, tomatores, and have had no issues. They are as sharp as the day I received them. I have also received several other stainless tools that have been very sturdy. You *do* have to watch measurements. I got 100 fish-hooks to go fishing... that could be used in my 10 gal. fishtank, not the lake.... I also purchased garden row hoops... that turned out to be a singular "hoop" my bad for not reading carefully!

      Great comment - so important to review the information in detail before you pull the trigger. I don't mind saying that I dislike the little pop-ups on the site that try to spur on fast decision-making (like: "there are only 3 left", or "free shipping ends in 13 seconds"" that sort of thing) I hate that style of shopping, and want to take my time to think about what I really need.

    Jason, it's great you gave us a Temu tool review. I've often wondered what others thought of their products. Good job. 👍

    Thanks for the product reviews. As a new gardener, i think it’s worth getting less expensive tools that I know I wont use too much. I’ve ordered Temu before, packages take a little longer than Amazon and quality was overall better than I expected. The return process was also easy

    I bought these pointy triangles u put on waterbottles, stick them in the soil and water drips into the ground. Perfect ! Also fishing hooks and leather purses, etc....

    I never thought to buy tools from Temu. I have used them for little items for health & beauty accessories and when something came broke, I was credited. Unlike Amazon, it takes longer to get, but I always received the package. I'm just careful of the app. I love your take on the Lshaped weeder and may have to try it out. I had a long handled trimmer which had given out, so maybe I'll look to see if they have something like it. Thanks!

      Quite welcome. That L-shaped crevice tool is genuinely my go-to hand weeder. I got my previous one from Ali-Express - not sure that I've seen them on Amazon.

    I like to support local business. I don’t buy anything online unless I absolutely have to and I never have to because I’m very savvy and I know how to find what I need.

    I got a pair of "knock off" red handled "felco" type pruners from Temu and they are SHARP! So far I'm very pleased with them. I have also ordered garden stakes, a propagation station, and a journal. All took about 8 or 9 days to arrive, but pleased with my purchases overall.

    Temu is a very exploitative company

    I’m far from a pro gardener & never had enough disposable income to buy Felco, but I have Fiskar pruners & Corona loppers that I cannot begin to tell you how old they are! I just keep sharpening the blades😁 Interesting review (some tools I’d never seen before) Thanks!

    I have the blue 1 litre sprayer from that same maker that I got from the dollar store. The handle is definitely made of softer plastic and so far, in the two years that I have had it, the handle hasn't broke on me. The only faulty part on mine is the plastic locking piece on the trigger. When it's engaged, it doesn't push the trigger all the way down so the sprayer ends up releasing liquids at a lower pressure. The lock also slides into position when the trigger is pressed all the way down which becomes annoying especially if you are wanting to spray short bursts of water or other liquids out of it.

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for adding that - good to know what parts are more and less likely to fail.

    Temu is a crazy company. They sell everything from ladies underware to industrial tools. I have bought from them several times. Mostly I have been pleased. I avoid tools that need batteries or electric power. It's an interesting outfit. One crazy thing I bought was "movie money". Get $10,000 for $5. That stuff looked and felt real. Although, it does say it's phony stuff. One thing I bought was a 20X glass lense, made in Germany. It's like a jewler's loop only hand held, and has a much bigger field of view. I use it to inspect drill bits, seeds, and other such small things. I used it to examine an old coin. I think the price was $3.50 (American). Get bedroom slippers for your wife and kids on the cheap there. I did buy a green laser light, for training my deaf dog at night. $7 and it shines a pinpoint 1000 meters, at night. It's a good safety device for hikers. Be well.

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. That 20x lens sounds like a good idea for spotting bugs on leaves - many pest scouts on nurseries use a jewelers loop for it.

    Temu seems to have a lot of the same tools as Amazon but I trust them even less. The internet is a dangerous playground but I can't live without it. I agree with you about tools that have welded on parts. When possible I go for single piece metal tools but I do like plastic handles for being weatherproof. My favorite is a Korean hand plow even though it has a wooden handle.

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. I haven't tried a Korean hand plow - somehow the shape has never inspired me, but I may have to give it a try with your vote of confidence.

    • @lieslfeldman1725
      @lieslfeldman1725 ปีที่แล้ว

      The hand plow is especially nice for creating a slope side furrow. This can be used to plant then cover larger seeds or to create an edge. @@FraserValleyRoseFarm

    As far as holding up/ durability I believe it also depends on the user. I garden, but I'm not a heavy duty gardener so even though these tools might not hold up for years, they would work well for myself and I wouldn't have to spend a lot of $$. Great review! Wouldn't have considered Temu before this video. 😊

  • @cocacola7845
    @cocacola7845 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I would be interested in an update video or pinned comment after a month or two of use. I'm doubtful that many of the items will be built to withstand work

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Good suggestion. I have some good idea of what I'll get from the little trimmer and sickle weeder (crevice tool) because I'm quite sure they're identical to what I've used in the past - but others I'm not so sure about yet.

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks. I have no problem with commenters encouraging each other to evaluate Temu as a company. The scope of my interest was to look at the quality of the products - which seem about on par with what I've seen from other mass merchants of imports (ie, Amazon, Dollar Giant, etc). Prolly from the same factories.

    The Temu problem is the app with back door, they may steal your information.

      @bookswithatwist-vanvelzerp9262 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes - and the slave labor to create the tools - at some point we can't support these countries - and THEN yes - there will be a small cycle of more expensive stuff - BUT THAT WILL FLATTEN OUT after a while

      I hear you and respect your judgement on this. Sadly, it's hard to know who to trust. I just found out that Canada Post (our government funded mail carrier) was selling mail recipient information in violation of Canada's privacy laws. So I guess you might be justified in assuming the worst.

    • @bonnieleung5630
      @bonnieleung5630 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      there is a difference between selling recipient info and installing a backdoor on your phone accessing the mic and camera anytime Temu wants (in addition to stealing your info). when a canadian company violates canadian privacy laws, they are under scrutiny and there is consequence. can't say the same for a chinese company.

      I heard multiple stories that banking account details stolen after using Temu and money stolen from their accounts. That’s why the stuffs are cheap because they can earn from other ways.

    Is the TEMU app also spyware? Getting people to install an etail app with a malware payload would be brilliant.

    I have avoided Temu so far but that L shaped weeder and the smaller hand snips have me thinking now. I guess its the questions around child labor that still are giving me pause.

    • @FraserValleyRoseFarm
      @FraserValleyRoseFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No doubt - and I leave it to you to decide which companies (if any!) are trustworthy enough to deal with. I purposely focused on the question of product quality because that's where I can best apply my experience.
