Really nice ideas... very creative.... love the cassette loop idea in a 4 track! I remember many years ago a friend made me a nice improv piano CD.. just a one off.. but the CD stopped working many moons ago (CD disk rot) and I've not been able to listen to it for 20 years... and the sad thing is my friend passed away 5 years ago. To think an old cassette from the 70s/80s has lasted longer speaks volumes.
And just like that, I desperately want to know if my dad still has the old cassettes of my grandmother's piano playing. Outstanding work, man. As someone that misses his long departed musician grandmother, you brought some tears to my eyes with your story and the beautiful piece you produced.
Thank you ! yes that was a nice feeling when I played the sample for the first time. Since this track, I play a lot with this sample, and I love it sound as much as I love where it come from.
That's awesome you have tapes of your grandmother playing! Thats something that your future children could in a sense feel your grandmother through, how she expressed and phrased.

This was beautiful! So long ago now, I remember being in a punk band trying to record on that very same Tascam.
