At his best he was incredible. Luckily for us his best went for 2&1/2 decades because he looked after himself. The note he holds at the end of the first chorus is just astonishing. WOW!!
I never got to see this tour ...he is the greatest frontman of allllll time his voice his writing are what old school metal was about....ask sebastian Bach
Every single time I listen to this perfect man’s voice, I sit here and ask myself, “How is he human?” Then I remember he isn’t. He’s an angel on Earth. I love and adore him more than I am capable of providing a description for. Everything he has ever done is perfect. What would I even do without him?
Since i was a baby i wanted to be a starchild. I remember when this tour came to seattle and i was 13 years old. Would of been a dream come true to see paul but it was 21 and over. Broke my heart. We saw a different band that night anyway but still drove by the venue paul was playing at and i couldn't stop wishing i was there.
A Million to One was and still is one of my favorite vocal performances from Paul Stanley. Not to mention one of my favorite KISS songs. Creatures of the Night and Lick it Up are amazing. Whether you like Vinnie Vincent or not, he helped make two of KISS' best albums.
Why can't KISS surprise audiences by performing gems like this? On his solo tour, Paul played a lot of tracks from the KISS catalogue that were/are rarely heard live, and he played a lot of his new album!. That makes me wonder if Gene isn't the one who insists on doing the same basic setlist year after year. For the deep cuts alone, I'd much rather see a Paul solo show than another KISS show.
Powerhouse vocals. This is the way I remember Paul. Also watch his performance of Tears are Falling at the Monsters of Rock Concert in 1988. Amazing performance.
Baby Now that you've made up your mind I'm gonna let you go If that's what it takes to show love is blind I gave you the best love you ever had But it wasn't enough So if you think you're so smart Go and play with your heart When you walk out the door You'll realize what you never did before That's what it will be [(A million to one)] There's someone better than me [(A million to one)] No, you never will find [(A million to one)] Another love like mine Yeah, we chose our sides Ooh, and I've been misunderstood But everytime I try to open your eyes I'm damned and I'm no good Day after day, you're further away I can't take anymore So it's time that you go, but I want you to know I won't stand in your way Deep in my heart I know Girl, you're runnin' away That's what it will be [(A million to one)] There's someone better than me [(A million to one)] No, you never will find [(A million to one)] Another love like mine [(A million to one)] One of these days you'll come out of your haze No matter what you do It'll be too late, something good won't wait Love is runnin' out on you That's what it will be [(A million to one)] There's someone better than me [(A million to one)] No, you never will find [(A million to one)] Another love like mine Listen to your heart girl [(A million to one)] Oh [(A million to one)] No, you never will find [(A million to one)] Another love like mine No, you never will find [(A million to one)] Another love like mine [(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)]
Kiss catalog is so freakin huge, they feel compelled to play all the classics. Personally I would agree with you. It would be nice to here more of the 80's and 90's songs mixed in!
No. I love Paul's singing here and I love the lower key. E just wasn't as good as this, which is in Eb. I like the keyboard player and the bass. The lead guitarist is stupid, and boring, I'll give you that one.
yes, I recognize the lower key which is commonplace when performing songs live. Agreed about the lead guitar work but the backing vocals completely sound "mailed in". overall, this band was a poor fit imo , and I saw Paul live in 89 with Bob Kulick and Eric Singer so I know what could've been first hand and that 89 band was heads and tails over this band.
Always loved this song, and several exes who had let some so-called "friends" talk them into thinking they "could do better" learned a hard lesson when I cited this song to warn them on the way out and would only let them as far as the "friend zone" after they tried to come back. My wife used to ask often "Why is that woman in the crowd glaring at me?" and I'd cuddle up to Jan saying "Because you're here and she's there, and she's blaming you that it's not the other way around, but I'm glad things turned out like this." and then I would kiss Jan and the regretful ex would stop the creepy staring. LOL
Are these vocals re-done in the studio? I have to say Paul sounds AMAZING here, much stronger than he did on the Live To Win CD. Makes me think they may have had him re-record these vocals in the studio and pasted them over the top. IMHO.
This is actually pretty impressive. It's showcasing some vocal discipline that I've rarely observed when he's live. I'm seen KISS a dozen times, and he is usually all over the place. Missing his mark, out of time with the music, and little attention to the melodic progression. Bravo!
If this comes from a DVD called Paul Stanley - One Last KISS!, I never heard about this DVD. When was this recorded and was this a mini-tour of Paul Stanley or just a one night event?
I dont see ant mention of Vinnie Vincent who wrote this song - This song got the shit end of the stick on Lick it up as well by placing it on the (not written by paul or gene or desmond) side of the album. By far the best song on the album. With that said this is brilliant, Lick it up had such terrible production. This is the best Kiss version of the song I have heard.
Sam Powell I liked your comment until you said "best song on the album". What about 'Lick It Up', 'All Hell's Breakin' Loose', 'Fits Like A Glove', ...
I hate to say it, but Paul's solo band here sounds way better musically than the current KISS lineup. The only KISS lineup that sounds better than Paul's solo band is the Carr/Kulick/Simmons/Stanley lineup. Coincidentally, that was their quintessential unmasked-era lineup.
In my opinion no. That has always been one of Kiss' pet peaves is those performers who use a bunch of studio trickery. I think when his voice is thoroughly rested he has been capable of this level of quality. On a tour he struggles more because of the over-use of his voice. He is also "being Paul" and not the "Starchild" from a kiss concert. No fake New York accent, no screaming banter between songs, etc. The smaller venue also does him justice. Just my thoughts! :)
The man is 62 and been singing non-stop for 45 years. Give him a break! As for the hair comments, the big stage hair is a wig and he and Gene have worn them for 20 years. Not a big secret, just part of the costume.
BadPawPawinTexas Gene wore a wig for the Animalize tour because of doing movies. Neither wear a wig, Stanley has had a transplant. the rest is hairspray ant teasing. By the way where is your info? Or only you can throw out blanket statements without backing it up?
IM not Dogging with the wig comment, ill be seeing them in Dallas in July, so obviously its no issue. I think there are plenty of photos that show them with amounts of hair that cant be teased into the style you see them in the same night or next day. I have several photos that show a normal amount of hair, then huge performance hair. Or maybe I just dont know enough about how one teases hair... :)
At his best he was incredible. Luckily for us his best went for 2&1/2 decades because he looked after himself. The note he holds at the end of the first chorus is just astonishing. WOW!!
The best singer ever.
One of the best,we will just say that. But KISS is my favorite band. Hands down and paul moves like a mad man . I would break a hip, lol
Yes he is the Best Singer Ever ❤❤
What a fucking singer n frontman, he has given his soul to us all and im humble n greatfull to be able to experiense him in my life.
I'm glad there are videos that keep a record of what Paul (and all the great singers) once sounded like. Paul's voice is unmistakable, and awesome.
I never got to see this tour ...he is the greatest frontman of allllll time his voice his writing are what old school metal was about....ask sebastian Bach
Paul singing with so much fucking passion on this .... Chills...
this sounds so much better than the original go paul!!!!
Better from the original overall? No way! But still an a-m-a-z-i-n-g performance from the Starchild!!!
He is still great eventhough you can hear some cracks in his voice. I guess time and age catches up with all of us.
Every single time I listen to this perfect man’s voice, I sit here and ask myself, “How is he human?” Then I remember he isn’t. He’s an angel on Earth. I love and adore him more than I am capable of providing a description for. Everything he has ever done is perfect. What would I even do without him?

anybody questions his vocals on this have never heard or seen the man sing live hes lost it last couple of years but this is pure Paul Stanley gold!
God Bless Paul...Thank you Paul for all your soul gripping songs that made my life have some meaning.
Why can't KISS surprise audiences by performing gems like this? On his solo tour, Paul played a lot of tracks from the KISS catalogue that were/are rarely heard live, and he played a lot of his new album!. Paul had a great voice here. Love it!
Wow... in his 60's and still has the power in his vocals. I really wish I could have seen this live!
Paul sounds great!! Love this guitar player too- Ive seen him on some music TV shows, most recently in "The Voice" band- awesome player
The voice.....💪💪🤟🤟👍👍👍
Excellent! Damn Paul kills it!
great song...awesome singer...
Wow that’s awesome, i love it song and him🌹💜⭐️😘
This is freaking awesome.
Paul, you never cease to amaze me with your vocals..... You ALWAYS kept it 'real'... GOD bless!
Frank DeAngeli$
My second best male singer.
Fantastic... I discovered it today.. And I am in love with this song already
Damn, he did that!! Great voice.
Excellent! Well done, Paul.
i love this song as a kid, and still as strong to me over 20 years later.
i missed the last of the good stanley voice this show been cool to be there
me 2 his voice was awesome back there
a kick ass song!
fantastic PAUL !!!!!!!!! this blows the roof off the place !!!!!!!
Powerhouse vocals. This is the way I remember Paul. Also watch his performance of Tears are Falling at the Monsters of Rock Concert in 1988. Amazing performance.
Best kiss song ever
Baby
Now that you've made up your mind
I'm gonna let you go
If that's what it takes to show love is blind
I gave you the best love you ever had
But it wasn't enough
So if you think you're so smart
Go and play with your heart
When you walk out the door
You'll realize what you never did before
That's what it will be
[(A million to one)] There's someone better than me
[(A million to one)] No, you never will find
[(A million to one)] Another love like mine
Yeah, we chose our sides
Ooh, and I've been misunderstood
But everytime I try to open your eyes
I'm damned and I'm no good
Day after day, you're further away
I can't take anymore
So it's time that you go, but I want you to know
I won't stand in your way
Deep in my heart I know
Girl, you're runnin' away
That's what it will be
[(A million to one)] There's someone better than me
[(A million to one)] No, you never will find
[(A million to one)] Another love like mine
[(A million to one)]
One of these days you'll come out of your haze
No matter what you do
It'll be too late, something good won't wait
Love is runnin' out on you
That's what it will be
[(A million to one)] There's someone better than me
[(A million to one)] No, you never will find
[(A million to one)] Another love like mine
Listen to your heart girl
[(A million to one)] Oh
[(A million to one)] No, you never will find
[(A million to one)] Another love like mine
No, you never will find
[(A million to one)] Another love like mine
[(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)(A million to one)]
Thanxs 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
siempre he admirado la voz de este hombre, un timbre personalísimo, eso sin hablar de la potencia, fenomenal
My man still sounds great!
Funny Kiss could not do this song justice now
Kiss catalog is so freakin huge, they feel compelled to play all the classics. Personally I would agree with you. It would be nice to here more of the 80's and 90's songs mixed in!
i love this song.
that Voice.......God bless you Starchild!
Simply thank you for posting this🙏🏽
great, great voice i love this song!!
My idols
Superb vocals. Superb sound. Superb lead guitarist. Bad wig. But, still the best frontman there has ever been.
Kiss sos todo..! Te amo paul...🎸 ❤
never heard this song live! it sounds good
Is it me, or does Paul sound better on his solo stuff?
Kate Foxy Price I agree 100%
He has more control over the performances in his solo band. That includes selecting band members with talent. This makes a difference.
Nice straight hair wig!! Paul's natural hair causes water to bead it's so curly like an African American. Great song!
Intense level. Classic from 83, I love, PAUL see ya 26\04
Amazing song...very crazy....cool
Te amo Paul..! 🎸❤
I dont know but he is a BEAST!
Thanks Cristiano, this is my fav song from Lick it up.
This is awesome sound compared to when thelive is recorded. AND I don't mean it should be worse, I mean it's less away from the record!!!
Excelente versión.
Mario López busca la versión de Sebastian Gava, el Stanley argentino. saludos!
So great live!! Better than the recording from 1983.
no chance, paul was good, the drummer was great but the backup band was vanilla as f@#$
No. I love Paul's singing here and I love the lower key. E just wasn't as good as this, which is in Eb. I like the keyboard player and the bass. The lead guitarist is stupid, and boring, I'll give you that one.

+Tyler Glynn I agree...sounds much better than the studio version ..
Nobody better.
THAT'S what it is to be rock star. End of story.
This is what a lot of ppl go through
PAUL....
Vintage Stanley vocals!!
:39 seconds in ........... SMOKIN HOT !!!
David Hill Girls really on fire.....
1980 Sydney live. Listen to his version of Detroit Rock City and overal vocal performance. Give that video a listen and compare.
La puta madre esto es perfecto ♥
They don't play it live as KISS i think they should its a great song that really should be played more live
i keep hoping they'll play it on 1 of the kiss kruises
TaArxidaMou I don’t think they will because they tend to stick with songs from the make-up years. Which this isn’t.
Geil -> Nur Geil³
Im not sure Paul was ever better than in this particular tour.
Bad Paw Paw in Texas yes I saw other footages and I saw better performances
Always loved this song, and several exes who had let some so-called "friends" talk them into thinking they "could do better" learned a hard lesson when I cited this song to warn them on the way out and would only let them as far as the "friend zone" after they tried to come back. LOL
Cool story, no one asked.
this shit goes hard ☆☆☆☆
Beautiful song....missing the awesome guitar work that vinnie vincent made on the lick it up album
Como quisiera que Paul siguiera cantando asi 😭 yo no pido la voz de los Alives, asi como suena aqui estaria genial
Foda !
Are these vocals re-done in the studio? I have to say Paul sounds AMAZING here, much stronger than he did on the Live To Win CD. Makes me think they may have had him re-record these vocals in the studio and pasted them over the top. IMHO.
I saw this tour in melbourne australia it was a fantastic show. Better than Kiss who came recently
Occasionally, he might exagerrate his accent, but it's not fake. He was born and raised in NY.
The only one...
Whew- fuckin awesome
That lead guitar sounds heavy influenced by Doug Aldrich. Wonder if it is..?
This is actually pretty impressive. It's showcasing some vocal discipline that I've rarely observed when he's live. I'm seen KISS a dozen times, and he is usually all over the place. Missing his mark, out of time with the music, and little attention to the melodic progression. Bravo!

Vinnie , where are you?
Jar G keep him where he is
Should have been the hit song off of Lick It Up!!!
original song from Lick it up album (1983)
O homem gostoso................
That band kicks ass - sounds better that Kiss.
Wow...Paul's solo band actually sounds better than KISS!
Only 3123 views? Wtf is wrong?
cause vinnie vincent was so good that nobody can copy him
Three Sides said this band sucked. Sorry this is perfect.
@anakonba1 haha you dont need to thank me
You can clearly hear auto-tune hit the right note at 2:15. I'm big fan of Paul, but not fan of auto-tuned tracks.
yip
There's a number of others before it too, but at his age, I can easily forgive it.
In my opinion no. That has always been one of Kiss' pet peaves is those performers who use a bunch of studio trickery. I think when his voice is thoroughly rested he has been capable of this level of quality. On a tour he struggles more because of the over-use of his voice. why can't someone like Paul Stanley find a back up band that can at least play the lead right?
Funny to see the hot girls in the front...I would think that the audience would be made up of 40 yr old men!
oooooooo thought it was kiss... haha.. was wond3erin' so.. deleted my share
The man is 62 and been singing non-stop for 45 years. Give him a break!
As for the hair comments, the big stage hair is a wig and he and Gene have worn them for 20 years. Not a big secret, just part of the costume.
Your misinformed.
Easy to say when you present no info.
BadPawPawinTexas Gene wore a wig for the Animalize tour because of doing movies. Neither wear a wig, Stanley has had a transplant. the rest is hairspray ant teasing. By the way where is your info? Or only you can throw out blanket statements without backing it up?

Bad Paw Paw in Texas clearly you don't know enough about the subject you're bringing up.
