    That's what I feel with my Tarot and Oracle decks, I can shut out the 'noise' of the world and go within and focus on just myself. For the purpose of self-care, self-healing and self-reflection.

    Bless you, Robert!
    As a sufferer with major depression and mild OCD, I find the tarot shuts off the “chattering monkeys” in my mind.
    Admittedly, at first I was scared off of tarot (RWS imagery). After some time of reflection, I purchased the RWS “tiny tarot. I thought the modest investment would give me an excuse if tarot still wasn’t for me. I used that deck (shuffling is quite the challenge) for 5mos, doing 1 or 3 card daily pulls.
    Last month I boldly bought a Randleigh Valentine deck, and haven’t looked back! My deck is lovely, empowering and simply a joy to learn with. I’m reading only for myself, weekly, doing more sizable spreads. The time spent learning the tarot has been wonderful!
    My husband fully supports me. I’ve spoken with him about my doubts/reservations, and how I’m boldly moving forward. He tells me to take what I need, and leave the rest.
    My tarot journey, at present, is one of learning and self-examination. Where it will lead, I have no idea! Thanks to you, Robert, I feel confident in that journey!

    It was during the pandemic that I reconnected with Astrology and discovered the Tarot. We were in Napier at the time, a beautiful coastal town in the North Island. When we arrived, it was ghostly. No humans around. I started painting, but it wasn't enough. I started searching on Google and came across the Inner Sky book by Steve Forrest. I devoured it. I found the course, and the rest, as they say, is history. When the shops re-opened, I went to search for a little gift for my daughter's birthday. I thought a deck of colourful Oracle cards might be a good idea for a budding artist. I stayed in that shop for hours and left with more than one deck. The way I see it, Tarot and Astrology provided the much-needed language to express myself. Symbols and metaphors felt natural, as opposed to the dry academic language of the Social Sciences that I studied previously, which I tried to squeeze myself into like a tight shoe, feeling phoney like Holden Caulfield 😁

      Have you ever read Jane Robert’s’ Seth books? Some of them are a bit complicated in parts, but they are very inspiring. I just read one of her last ones, The Magical Approach. It’s very nice. I think you might relate to it.

    Absolutely true. We are being overloaded overwhelmed with various "truths".. to sway us this way or that. The Tarot is that real good friend that can cut through the noise and keep us walking the narrow middle path of equilibrium. I have a question for you in regard to a client reading... do you ever hold yourself back from revealing all that you see on the table? As far as advice? I did a reading recently that upset and angered a client ( and i didn't tell him everything) speaking of how his anger was affecting his marriage (how ironic) my teacher told me i said too much.. I'm very confused now in being able to tap in to gain info and knowing how far to reveal to a client. It's a fine line I suppose.

    • @teatarot4557
      @teatarot4557  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      I think one has to be tactful and really wish the best for the client. But actually with me it’s the things that I *don‘t* say to clients that I regret. I believe that the intelligences in the other dimensions use you as a channel for their messages. If you meditate and ask the universe to make you a pure channel, and if you genuinely want to help people, then I think it’s ok to say what you see. The client has to take responsibility for asking for a reading in the first place.

    • @danskhansen
      @danskhansen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It's just resistance on their part. They may recoil when first confronted with an uncomfortable truth ... that's natural ... but will likely benefit from the encounter once they've had time to digest what they've been shown. Your responsibility is to be honest about what you see, and deliver the message with the client's best interest at heart. We all can use a bit of tough love now and then ...

    • @zhmw
      @zhmw 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What did this client expect? When a client comes in for a reading, they need to be open to whatever is revealed.

    • @teatarot4557
      @teatarot4557  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      One of my worst readings was when a woman asked me about her marriage. I clearly saw that her husband was unworthy of her, but I couldn’t think of a tactful way to say it, so I waffled on. She was angry and pointed out, correctly, that I had said nothing! It was a big lesson for me.

      @@teatarot4557 thank you for this bc to be honest, my confidence has taken a hit. I'd like to think of myself as a sincere person who speaks plainly. I think sometimes people come to hear what they want to hear. What's super ironic is that the way this person reacted is exactly what i saw but i tried to soften the edges of my delivery. (JC imagine if i really went in?) I think this is a person who surrounds himself with enablers and i showed where he needed to take some responsibility for his state of being. Think he was expecting some fluffy bunny stuff perhaps. I just hope subconscously this experience doesn't turn on " the inner critic/ censor" in myself. Something I'll need to be aware of and work on. Ty T&T
