Do you have some good places that you recommend to start fishing at the Little Miami River?

I never like to visit the same spot twice. Try starting at any bridge in the river and give it a shot. Mason, Loveland, Milford, Newtown, Lunken.

What is a good reel setup for the fishing the Little Miami? What are best lures also?

My rod and reel set up depends on the bait I wish to throw that situation. I use a baitcaster with light line for my square-bill crankbaits and jerkbaits. I use a spinning reel with a medium light rod for finesse lures like single tail grubs and stick worms. For the most part, I usually always use light line. 6 to 10 pound braid test with a 4 to 6 lb fluorocarbon lead. Gives it a little bit more challenge if it’s a big fish, and I can send the lures further with light lines.

I'm from Minnesota and i'm about to take a trip to Ohio and i'm gonna do some fishing on the little Miami.... any suggestions for bait and lures to use?? i'm completely new to fishing that area.

Check out any of our videos on the Little Miami including this one... we go over all the lures we use for the particular part of the season we filmed. Right now single-tail grubs, micro-finesse swimbaits, and hellgrammite crankbaits were the working lures of the day. But, it always depends on the time of the year and what species you’re targeting.
