You're right, we've been really lucky to enjoy these places in the lower seasons, having them all to ourselves at times! Ahh well we are still working whilst we cruise but we're lucky to take our office with us on the water!
Couple of tips. Think about getting a folding trolley to help you carry your provisions back from the shops? And for the fridge look at adding an extra strip of seal around the inside of the door to reduce frosting. You can buy them super-cheap in any DIY store.
Hey thanks for the tips - always appreciated. We've since bought some folding bikes with baskets on which should make the shopping runs wayyyy better. Those trolleys are convenient too though... need more storage! For the fridge we tried that actually, redid all the seals. But didnt help much. So we've since torn it all out and replaced with a couple of enclosed Isotherm units whicih are great. Turns out all the insulation was soaked through so go figure... Cheers!
I had a wooden boat for 15 years with lots of varnish and lived in the tropical zone, so looks great but you will get sick of it. So my advise is only varnish the vertical surfaces and let the horizontal surfaces and grab rails go raw, still looks great. Your choice sand and varnish or play!!😁
This is too true. We were adamant about not doing varnish again. So recently we've scraped it all off, sanded back to bare wood and are using Cetol instead. Looks as good as varnish (even better in my opinion, more natural looking), takes much less time to apply (only 3 coats!), is a piece of cake to paint on and has pigment in it so lasts longer than varnish between top-up coats. fingers crossed but for now it looks great!

I moved away from varnish to Cetol due to ease of maintenance. Years ago cetol sucked but today it looks almost as good and you can get it in matte or glossy just like varnish.
Ha ha, it's not in all parts of Mallorca that everything is in German 😏 In some parts you find a lot of British turists and in other parts a lot of Scandinavians. I like your videos 👌
