When I was stationed in the Philippines in 1975 I got tired of hauling around a Nikon F2 and bought a Konica C35. I loved that little camera it would fit in a pocket and was easy to use. In the 80's it got wet due to a leaky roof and killed the camera.
Good camera - easy to repair, so these can keep going for years and years. I have a good collection of them, also a C35 FD (f1.8 lens, with shutter priority mode)
@@jennyb2080 it does work well! I just have to learn how to have a steadier hand 😅 sad though because I accidentally exposed the film that the previous owner had left in it 😔
@@pokemonzapdos2 I'm amazed that you actually replied to this comment LOL, aw man it would've been a real treasure to see what photos were on that roll :) I found someone selling this camera on Facebook and was wondering about the quality of the photos and if it'd be good for a beginner. What battery does it take (is it easy to find)?
@@jennyb2080 Of course! Haha I’m glad TH-cam notifies about replies. And it definitely would have been cool to see lol maybe it was for the better though that I didn’t see them xD Yep the quality is great! I just get nervous every time I take a photo because you can’t see how it turned out until you develop it, but that’s all part of the fun! I would say you should try to get it! Just make sure there’s no cracks and that the lining on the inside (back) where the film goes is still intact. I got an Energizer 353/303 battery for it...it’s like those little round ones and you can probably find them at your local grocery store.
I have one question because I don't know a lot about this camera but how do you transfer/get the photos you took with the camera on your phone/ digitalise them? Thank you in advance.
a bit late probably. but ive used expired ISO400 film and set the camera to ISO 200 - the result .....seriously underexposed. I'd go ISO 100 next time (2 stops) even with fresh film.
hallo! do you have any pointers as to how much it needed to compensate the ASA setting when using an LR44 battery? We just got this camera and would like to test it soon! :D
I've noticed that while shooting on mine that if I focus on something that is roughly 3.5 ft away I will look at the focus ring it will say I'm at infinity not something.
Since it is an old camera, I think there are individual differences, but in my case I set it to 400. I explained in my video to adjust, but in reality it does n’t have to be so nervous.
thank you for the effort and the sharing. can the c35 automatic take pictures without a battery? and do you know how to replace the light seals around the camera? thanks in advance. thumbs up.
Even if there is no battery, the shutter will be released, but you cannot set the exposure manually. Proper exposure is not expected. I'm replacing the light seal with felt when I need it
@@kitchensfilm but my needle always stick tothe highest position, no matter I changethe environment or I adjust the ISO, in this case does it mean that the metering equipment is broken
When i started out on drums, i knew some people who played drums just like that, and also sound like that on recordings; most of the time it was due problems with hand and feet coordination, and keeping a steady hi-hat.
I guess you figured out why your first shot showed a light leak ! You advanced your film two times before you closed the back. You should just barely advance the film two see that its working correctly, then close back and then advance to #1 shot.

Found one of these at Goodwill and I really hope it still works well
Did it end up working? :P

@@jennyb2080 if you have an IG you can look me up “tyga702” I have a story highlight labeled “35mm” with just a few shots from my last roll
What film are you shooting with in that video?
Where do you get the battery
My speed ring indicator is broken so isn't showing a true reading - what is the min and max reading so I can take a best guess?
Hi!! I just bought a Konica 35v and I'm wondering if you know what kind of film I should/can use for this? Great video!!!
I have one question because I don't know a lot about this camera but how do you transfer/get the photos you took with the camera on your phone/ digitalise them? Thank you in advance.
Scan the film once you have developed it.
Usually the lab you get them developed at can digitize them for you and email them to you.
does this work on a manual mode?
If I'm using 400 ISO film with a new battery, what should I set my meter to? 200?
a bit late probably. but ive used expired ISO400 film and set the camera to ISO 200 - the result .....seriously underexposed. I'd go ISO 100 next time (2 stops) even with fresh film.
Use a hearing aid battery (zinc air type). They are close to the original voltage. I never have issues with those.
What setting should I use to get a shallow depth of field for portraits?
Thank you for your comment!
Since the exposure is determined automatically, basically you cannot control the depth of field yourself.

I’d wager that the .2v over voltage won’t make any discernible difference to negative film. Rate for the box and enjoy 👍
loved some of the shots!
this is so great !! thanku hehe i just got the same camera and im excited2 use it bcos of this video

I want to ask that how to make sure whetherthe battery still works?
If the needle in the viewfinder moves in response to light, the battery is operating.

Unfortunately it is broken.
What is the name of the film you use?
How do you rate the C35 vs the Canon QL17?
sorry, I've never used Canon QL 17
Nice video!! I found one in a local store for $50 (a little bit battered and scratched though). Do you think is a good price?
i think its alright. I just started my own channel too about film cameras, drop by if u have time =)
What kind of roll do you use in this video?

Hey:) Just wanted to know what film roll you used for the photos, thanks!
I think I used an expired Kodak 200.
My memory is a bit suspicious.

do you sell it?
Thanks for your comment. Sorry, this is my collection. I can not sell it.

C35はアルミですが、それでも金属カメラが好きです。
Lovely 😍
It's a rangefinder camera, not a point & shoot.
One of my neighbors gave me one of these last year. Haven't used it yet.
