    I recently painted the hallway and stairs in my apartment, and it really helped to break down the project into its various steps. If I had written "Paint hallway" on my to-do list, I would never have gotten it done, because it's not something I can visualize doing in one session. But I COULD check off the individual short tasks on that project list as I finished them, knowing that each one was moving me further toward my goal. Also, there's nothing worse than being in the middle of a project and realizing you're missing a key tool or ingredient. So the first step on the project to-do list should always be "Assemble materials and tools."

    This is very helpful! Thinking of many activities as projects when they are repetitive tasks was making them so much more difficult!

    I like the end because it tied it back to calling bullshit on Musi, and the 200 lies we tell ourselves.
