Who's ready for a totally new season and experience for SPT here on the Gamer Visuals channel? I decided to create a character and backstory this time around to make it a bit more immersive.
Character: Jack Mercer, a USEC operator, is stoic, pragmatic, and loyal, shaped by military service and the harsh realities of Tarkov.

Rules for SP Tarkov S3:
-when jack is “incapacitated” he is dragged to a random area of the map by friendly scavs and left with the gear that the scav provides him.
-scav runs will be used to rescue jack and get him back in the fight.
-Jack will then use the scav kit to get back to the hideout.
-Jack will pay the scavs 50,000 roubles for their help.

I think as an RP you could do what you previously did. I don’t think the Scavs would willingly just give gear away, but they would be persuaded with some money. I think since the Scavs are friends with Jack, a simple exchange of like 50k-100k roubles is sufficient, depending on how good the kit is. I think Scavs would easily exchange gear for money.
true! I just dont know how to figure out how much that gear is worth unless I add it all up I guess then pay the scav that much money? that could actually work
@@gamervisuals you could just set a reasonable amount. like scav rented me this helm, gun, vest for 5 or 10k (which you can pay from already had funds to not ding the kit budget)
@@gamervisuals here's my thought about your RP. Jack can pay fence 50k (or 100k if you wish so) and he sends his man (scav) to Jack. This dude has one job. Deliver some gear to Jack so he can run back to hideout. So scav been payed to give you all of his gear (don't warry about him, he has some scav friends who will make sure he is safe), but here's the catch: you are still not home. So you can't keep some shiny stuff your scav friend just looted. And you can't sell or buy stuff. You need first to take loot to your hideout.
As for pistol runs - you can use your combat belt thingy to take sidearm with you. You even can stuff it with ammo and mags for your pistol. It has plenty of space so you can spare 3-4 slots for the sake of RP. And if you loose this one (or insted of, if you don't like this idea) you can buy sidearm and some ammo from local scavs x5 of its price (or maybe most expensive order on a flea).

A good way I found to regulate your money is to increase the Repair price markup with SVM.
Also you can decrease the Trader Markup Percentage too with SVM, so when you sell to them, you get less money.
I recommend you explore SVM and read what the options do by hovering over them. It's one of the best tools to customize your in-game experience both in terms of money and xp.
Just make sure to backup your profiles by saving the same profile with just a different name (I recommend using dates and the Preset Notes to log what you changed) because when you start messing around with it a lot, it is easy to miss-click and accidentally override your settings.
I tried role-playing in-game by deleting stuff but it gets really annoying after a while, so it is just better to change the in-game prices to passively limit yourself.
I know you physically could not take the weapon cases, but it hurts so much.

To make it easy, when your Scav comes in, Then decide what’s the scavs gear. Leave that on him- sell to fence-so you don’t have to bring it into stash.
Then delete that $ from fence.
Everything you decide to “sell for money” delete that $, since it’s the scavs $$?
So you only keep what you need for your PMC to run and for hideout, crafting, and quests.
This also forces you, when On Scav, to find More gear to get out for PMC.
I like the idea of selling the scav gear and using the money to buy a budget kit. Could also just buy from fence for the kit for role play
fence kit would be TOUGH! that stuff is so expensive
If you don't want to use the Flea Market just use SVM and make the required level high so that you don't get access.
I think u should utilize more flee, for example those 6 water bottles were 20k each so 140k total and u should also check in raid item checkmarks for what u need them like for hideout or quests and how many, keep up the good work tho, i'm already waiting new episode 😎

Im a couple weeks behind on your videos so you may have it by now. The mod you were curious about at 45.55 is called 'trader modding and improved weapon building.' Its a must have for me.
20:53 dont hold yourself to only using the cash from last scav run. use the cash at your disposal. scav run rules were just for picking the loot you get from that run. next run kitting no reason not to use any amount of your money you need/want to.
it was pretty interesting budgeting that loadout tho lol.
yeah it was actually a lot of fun having to use a budget kit for the run. I may keep doing that but just cutting it out in the future so you guys don't have to sit through me adding everything up.

Flea in spt or the new pve mode is OP...if you want the challenge you shouldn't use it till level 4 traders

You inspired me to start a zero to hero run using your rules. First 3 raids didn’t find a single gun on any dead static scavs, weapon boxes and couldn’t loot a single body without being shot. I have a few different mods like random raids, so I see random bosses/kollontay spawns on Ground Zero, I think I need to tailor my mods more in line with yours. A quick short on your SVM setting would awesome so I don’t completely screw up my SPT.
Exchanging rubs for dollars is within the lines just stay in the budget, there traders for a reason
Another tip with buying, next to the buy/sell unchecked that square that auto selects your cash so you can drag your "spending" stack in

With ryzen 5500 the fps on spt with these mods are like 40/50 fps, any advice to help me?
Bro, either try to make a concrete ruleset that is clearly defined and stick to it, or don't bother with the extra rules. The figuring it out during the video and theorycrafting is getting real annoying for me.
Here's a suggestion- schedule a livestream dedicated to talking about the ruleset with viewers, and use that time to make a set of rules that works for you based on difficulty, jankiness(figuring out how much money you're spending or not was painful to watch), and enjoyability. Post the rules in the description and stick to them, only clarify if any ambiguity arises.
Other than that, I really like your videos, and I still want to watch more.
Just trying to create the most entertaining content thats also fun and different for me to play each time I do a season. I started with an idea but have had some really great suggestions from the community so i'm testing out what works best. We nailed down what i'm doing on this video's premiere. Gonna stick with it from now on.
