It blows my mind no one really told me to focus on the 3rds and 7ths when improvising. I think that’s the secret ingredient my improv has been missing. I can get around chord changes ok, but my lines have lacked direction. Thanks, Dani.
Man, this is great stuff. I think my ears already understood this idea but now I’ve got an intellectual framework to build on it with. Definitely gonna be spending some proper time with it the next few weeks. Also dude when is the last time you cleaned your fretboard lol
It's weird, but that is a real nomenclature, usually denoted with an x-type mark next to the note. One example is in Moonlight Sonata during the diminished part.
Man. Put the camera in one place and leave it. That is incredibly annoying. If you were listening to a professor give a lecture in college would you expect a professor to do somersaults and jump around and all that kind of crap? I didn’t subscribe because of that. Infantine.
That is the best exploration about guide tones over the years. Thank you a lot.

I don’t believe in that
Fair enough I suppose 😬
Yeah man.
❤❤❤
Double flatted?
Yup that’s how you make a diminished chord bb7s
@@marbinmusic but why not just call it the next note down (6th)?
It's more common to name things after their function.
