Failed drone launch at 3900m (12,800 ft) - air too thin

Attempting to take off with my GoPro Karma at the top of the Zermatt ski resort in Switzerland. No errors, no warnings, just... no power. I could only hover a couple feet above the snow and drift around before deciding to land it. Further down the mountain, it flew fine. This was the first time I've experienced this
