usually these light have two shades of light one "warm " and the other "cool " for the brightness required . Also the internal led strip that broke with expansion and contraction with heat you could of soldered small cables on ends and put a small loop so the cable will stretch and contract naturally without stressing connections. You should try and repair PCB could be a thermal fault ? repair it use a thermal image camera and which ever area getting warm could you fit a small heat sink ? might be worth a try.
