Old mate showed me an old manaro pretty sure it was HK but it was Oxford blue (original) and it had NOT TO BE REGISTERED stamped on inner guards. The washer bottle was hidden up under the windscreen so no water could end up on the track. Never forgot never will .
Ol boy passed away 2010 Far south Coast NSW ,he loved everything Ford and it had to be a V8 ,we lived on over 300 acres 30 kms inland on a prop with 2/3rds covered in Titree, when one of the cars broke down he just pushed it into the scrub went into town and picked up another ,mostly lil repairs like water pump or a busted idler arm something suspension as we drove corrugated roads ,everthing from XL to XC that was hes era and there were near 70 complete cars scattered from utes to sedans thats it no coupes no wagon no panel vans ,brothers and i sold the prop and we had zero time to clear the ol cars as we had our own lives in Sydney and Melbourne ,only one wrecker bothered to come and take the lot for nicks and they were all the way out in Cooma ,i often think about goin out that way and seeing if theres any ol memories in a wreckers in Cooma NSW ,they took the lot over 2 months
Great story. It's good to have those memories of your dad. sounds like there would have been some good stuff amongst the abandoned cars. I used to live in Canberra and went through Cooma and past the wreckers. He had heaps of old cars there.
@@AussieGarage sorry if i rambled on a bit ,there was a special car that he pushed into the gully in the back paddock and i was curious as to what it was or was it a factory car ,red xc sedan 302 4 speed 9 inch out back and i know it really went hard ,he busted a leaf spring and that was enough for him to park it ,had a Aussie flag decal under both side mirrors scoops on bonnet and dual round lights ,only had 40 thousand ks on it when he ditched it ,might of been a GXL but this one just drove and sat so tight ,good car, painter at work said it might have been a prototype Gt but they didnt make Gt in XC as far as i knew
Mopar Ford then GMH . The best XA would be the XA Coupe in mustard GT Auto . Next best GT is a mustard XW Auto bone trim GT HO in auto be great . 👍🏻. The 340 Charger was quicker from the factory then the XA GT and that’s with a single exhaust . The 340 ran the biggest 4 barrel of any car out of the big 3 . The first 3 Monaro built were the best GMH built except the 6 253 and 308 . The 327 and the 350 are the only one to own . After this model it went backwards big time 😮 .
As I grew up they were always known as Coups. I know there is contention about whether they are called hard tops or coups. But at the end of the day we just want to bring you guys the cars. Whatever There called.
Were happy for you to call them what you want. And I don't believe anyone is going to give me to much greif over it let alone push me off a cliff. Thanks for your comment though, everyone has the right to there opinion.
Amazing collection
That place looks like heaven!
Such a brilliant set up.
Factory Yellow glow XA GS K-code sunroof....what a ripper car!
It is a stunning car.
Wild collection Rob & Cass. 👍
The ultimate collection. Insane!
Awesome, the collection that keeps on giving. Love the diner style house fit out too, I thought that was cool as
How cool to eat at the diner every night. That's living it.
Nice to own all these cars and toys along with so much memorabilia while being on a modest wage
It has taken them over 30 years of collecting To get to this point. They have put a lot into there setup over time.
Wow neat collection
Love the XA, but I am a bit bias. Rest of the collection is also great,
well done guys hats off to you .
Thanks. We were blown away by their collection.

That's interesting about the, not to be registered being stamped on it. I guess they built some just to race only. Thanks for sharing.

Nostral Alamist
I think it may be a six, not a V8 model, I may be wrong?
She didn't say did she. Im not sure about that.

Sounds like a great line up of cars to own.
No such thing as a 383 big block. You mean small block
Yes I'm sure that's what she meant. It can be intimidating standing in front of a camera trying to get it all right.
It is a hard top, not a coupe. Stop saying it about anything 2 door. Read the compliance plates.

@AussieGarage Most hard top GT owners, would almost push you over a cliff for calling it a "coupe" same as an XU1, it's a 2 sedan.
