- The best things come from the most unexpected places. At least, that’s the case with the Bombay Frankie Company. They’re serving up some of the best Indian food in Los Angeles-all out of a gas station. Brother and sister Hiram and Priyanka grew up in California eating classic Indian cuisine. Now, they’ve launched the newest Indian food concept in California with their take on Mumbai’s street food classic, the frankie. Get ready to fill up your belly and your tank.

My kids never tried Indian food before. We are from West Africa and tend to have an aversion towards foreign food. But then one day we bought fresh samosas at an Indian shop in Germany. We've all been hooked ever since. Really delicious ingredients.

You should also try- pani puri, chaat, pav bhaji, chhole bhature.
They are all delicious Indian street foods.

Station owner will be fair skinned for South India, dark skinned for extreme North/North East while perfectly average for a North Indian. Besides, there is nothing wrong with either of those skin color or hair.

Their vegan frankie is amazing but the paneer frankie is very good too. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. I’m there most Monday nights after class and get take out for lunch the next day or two.

Always ate Indian food as a buffet meal over the years. Love the innovation of how to facilitate business through other avenues
Yum! I wish the petrol stations where I lived did this. Unique concept that pays off because the food is just so damn good, and you already have guaranteed foot traffic. Might not be the typical place you find good quality Indian cuisine, but business is often about taking that gamble and seeing what works, and clearly this has ticked all the right boxes and is killing it.

Some of the best Indian food in my town is at gas stations also. I love the spices and unique flavors.
There is actually a gas station in Apex, NC off 10/10 that has an Indian restaurant as part of it. When my son was in college, I used to drive by there all the time (it's really good - or was - I forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me, maybe go back and see).

It looks awesome, but one question i have is what are the queues for the pumps like. In england we have petrol stations that are now small supermarkets. This means after people buy their fuel, they may be shoping for a few minutes for food items.
Even getting a coffie from a main stream coffie shop can take 2-4 minutes. So what kind of queues like for people that just want to buy fuel.
I understand that people don't have to buy petrol to visit the petrol station. There may be even additional parking. i sure as hell would get some petrol and smell that lovely food and stop to get some. While some poor sap is waiting behind me for fuel.
While not everyone does it, in the US it's generally considered polite to get your gas first, then pull into the shop's parking lot for any other shopping. Since most people use pay-at-the-pump with a bank card, this isn't too hard to do. You're kinda seen as an asshole if you leave your car at the pump any longer than necessary, particularly if there's anyone waiting.
(And likewise, "thanks" to our sprawling cities, most gas stations have enough land for a sizable parking lot.)
