Cali turned two on December 20th and we celebrated the occasion at the cabin. Our Golden Retriever is the star of the channel and her many fans have been sending her gifts, including toys, clothing and dog treats. Includes video footage and photographs of her growing up, from the day we picked her up at 7 weeks old, exploring the wilderness, looking for property for the cabin, canoeing, swimming and more.

In some ways it is as bad as loosing a family member! Sorry to hear about your loss, but I'm sure you gave your dog a lot of love and affection and a full life!

You must groom her a lot Shawn. For how active she is out in the woods, she always looks very clean and well kept.
CZYK Republic. We’ve had numerous Golden’s it seems that no matter how dirty they get, once they dry out, they are almost self cleaning. They golden coat amazing.
I've had two in a row and agree. Only downside is their shedding. But I got used to that. Positives outweigh the negative.
She's a smart, sweet, beautiful girl, who deserves all the love in the world. Anyone who disliked this video needs to reexamine their lives.

I had a Beautiful Golden named Charley when I was younger. Great dog during a time I was alone. She eventually adopted my new wife and family and actually saved my baby girl from choking. Amazing, Beautiful wonderful member of our family until she was 17. Appreciate Cali for the special companion she is. We can tell she is a special part of your world. God gives us the fury companions we need... when we really need them. They are four legged angles sent to make our world complete. Hold them close...

We had Golden Retriever, Mindy. She was the best! RIP 1993-2006. She was a Coast Dog: Ate raw fish, blackberries right off the bushes and loved going fishing. Miss her, sooo much.

I have 11 dogs and 8 Cats,but everytime when i must put one of my little Souls down they take a piece of my heart with them.They are all rescue pets from Romania,Spain and Germany.But in our hearts they live forever.
Cali reminds me of my gold retriever Razorblade. He was 14 yrs. when he passed away in my arms Nov. 19, 2012 . He was the best friend I've ever had and there will never be another like him!
Cali has been a major influence for my girlfriend and myself leaning towards getting a Golden Retriever. Beautiful pup Shawn.

Had a golden retriever from the time I was a Kid until late teens.. Jake lasted until he was 13ish years old. He developed a form of cancer of which I can't remember. Spent months sleeping by his side in the kitchen and vice versa, he passed away or was put down after I had moved out of the parents house. I was heart broken when I couldnt be there in his last hours. truly mans greatest friend. No greater love than a loyal dog.

Beautiful scenery, the perfect place for inner dialogue. This man is the best example for all. Being alone doesn't mean you're lonely!!! The dog is a dear, well trained and people around her they adore and treat her as a member of the family! Very cute and smart!

Sean our dogs have such short lives to live and it's our responsibilities as humans to make sure that that short life is the best life that dog could possibly have and you have done that do you have done that and you will continue doing that I think as humans are the only thing we can do show our dogs love for the short time that they're here and the best life possible thank you for being an animal lover God bless

Absolutely true comment. I moved to the Philippines from Canada with my Boston Terrier. Six months later he died from cancer and I cried my eyes out. My Sam Boo even made it onto 2 dog calender's in 2013 in Canada and the USA, and was featured on Jan. 1 for the one calendar....Dad was very proud of him. I am now "owned" by a Rottweiler and Black Labrador who are the love of my life, other than my wife of course. When a person looses their dog, a part of your life is also lost. You can't beat the love of man's best friend.

@@Murphy252000 Actually I had my Lab prior to loosing my Boston Terrier. None the less, i still miss him 3 years later. I also have a mixed breed dog, and a Rottweiler because the local village idiot/politician threatened my life. 1 year later he committed suicide as a direct result of being corrupt. and getting caught. Such is life here in the Philippines now. Love my wife and dogs and she says that I love my dogs more than her. Noooooo, but my dogs love for me is a different love

If you don’t bring back the stick or whatever you throw and wants more it’s not a lab it’s a mix. Some people get tired of throwing the dog a big stick they love it, absolutely love it

I had a golden retriever/lab mix. Great personality. Easily trained. He also started having seizures due to epilepsy at just before 2 years of age. We were told it's common amongst both breeds. It's definitely difficult to manage/watch. I'm glad you've found Cali. She's a doll! Love our videos.
