This is when Thundercats was airing on Cartoon Network on a bad time because I had to look at Friday Night SmackDown and I think other people had things to do and watch.
Sucks this show never got the treatment it deserved. Everyone wanted a gritty reboot, we got that, and it failed! It also failed due to how expensive it was.
I'm never not going to be sad that the show didn't get to finish. It was great. I pre-ordered and own the recent blu-ray release. Which looks to have no special features. I don't even think the Snarf short is on it.
Its good that you bough it man, merchandise sales is what really keeps shows going. I dont know how Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got so lucky with their toys but hey who am I to judge. If more people buy the DVD's than the executives will notice this and one day (when they're more financially secure) make cartoons like this one again. Till then they need to find another way to make action cartoons profitable; with all the gadgets and gizmos kids are into now-a-days they're not that into toys anymore, and the internet keeps them from buying DVD's too. Its truly sad
It wasn't bad toy sales.... technically... I know this comment is old, but someone linked me to this promo video. It had to do with some dumb interpersonal bs where they purposely put it at a bad time because someone WANTED another project put in place... And then they found that making Chima would sell the same value toys but cost significantly less money to make the show, even though it was pretty much 'lego Thundercats'. So there were theories that the person who purposely made the push for the bad time slots did it because they had an idea for a show that would be significantly cheaper ANd skirt on copyright. In otherwords, the person made the push to ruin thundercats so Chima could have a place.
This is what I'd imagine some epic movie trailer would be like.

Wish the writers figured out a way to revive this reboot. Maybe make it a Max original. Just to see how the story concludes.
