Glad I stuck with 1/6 scale. Basically just a smaller version of this figure, plus it fits the scale of my others, is made of metal, and costs a couple hundred dollars less.
Looks very impressive. I think the 1:6 is more accurate proportionally than the 1:4 but I like the proportions of the 1:4 scale better. I'm not usually a 1:4 collector but the engineering alone may change my mind about this one. Thanks for the review.
Although prefer the design of the Mk43 it, this looks extremely impressive, really looking forward to getting my pre-order. I'm extremely happy & relieved at the shoulder modification @ 13:00 and 24:00 to hide those ugly gaps as found in the 1/6 scale version Great review

How tall is this figure over the stand? I want to make a custom "case" with acrylic for my XLIII and for the futures XLII and XLV that i have on pre order. Thank you
It depends on how you pose him up. I pose my 1/4 figures on the table, and the diorama base is around them with the stand holding the crotch area. The figure is around 20 inches high, if you put them on the base, it will be an extra 2-3 inches depending on how you pose it. Then you need a couple of inches ontop of the 23 inches for clearance for the acrylic box.
The reason he didn't put the neck parts on was because he was using the Tony Stark head sculpt from the 1/4 scale Mark 43 and the neck piece from that doesn't fit on the 1/4 scale Mark 45. He even addressed this in the review.
kijinghitam Agree. The prototype is less shiny overall, and i prefer it that way. But the end product's colour resembles the movie more and it's still an awesome figure nonetheless. Cant wait to get it in hand.
cool figure, i never liked the mk 45 in the movie, the shiny paintjob was a letdown, the neck was too long and the helmet too small, from my point of view the mk 46 is the fixed version of this one
my jaw dropped when I saw just how articulate this 1/4 scale mk 45 is. Very impressive and an excellent design. The mk 45 is one of my favorites

Is it me, or is the colour tone/shade different from the prototype? The prototype looks so much better, in my opinion.
yeah the prototypes gold color is less shiny and darker and yeah it looks sooo much better. nevertheless still a great figure though
