Hello, thanks for a very inspirering movie. Im looking at the "Deep Grove Option" starting around 2:24 in the movie, what are the specifications of the floor in the stable. Is it a concrete floor and how is it made, on site casting or premade elements? How much is the floor sloaping toward the middel Grove and how wide is the middel grov in the top? Have you ever had problems with cows getting injured because they step with the one hoof in the grove? What about making the floor slope longitudinaly so that the urine in the deep drain flows out of the stable continuously, would that prevent the tsunami of manure that covers the cows hoofs/legs? Only problem seeing, which just might be a big one, is how to access the cable area for maitinace and repairs? Through muck underneath? Why not design to have accesability from topside? Call it the U.S. American type of thinking, but definately hate having to fix things more than have to. Thus please design things, everything w high quality for durability, and accessability for maitinace and or repairs that will enevidably be needed ...
Why the big grove in the floor .There goes your spanners or phone .All equipment should be from the ground up where possible with slurry equipment .The pulleys and corner units might not rust as fast .A lot of the designers don t have to fix there problems afterwords is the biggest problem .There be a lot of F some weekend when it is stopped .
Like any scraper system, lovely when they are new, but wear and tear over time will take its toll. A lot of wearing & moving parts here, & slurry is no freind of steel either.
Hi Martin. I work with these alley scrapers and it all depends if you want the groove or not. You can get the scraper without the paddle which works just the same way.
