Flight Angel

What it means to be a flight angel…
To simplify it you are transporting a dog from A to B. But the reality is it’s so so so much more. You’re literally giving this animal a shot at life. There are so many dogs/cats like this little guy and my Walter at the shelters in these countries where there is an unimaginable abundance of homeless animals. Their chances of being adopted on the islands are slim and euthanasia is a sad reality. Once puppies get over 20 pounds they are unable to fly in the cabin of the airplane thus making it that much harder to get dogs off the island or out of similar countries. The thought of this dog not having an opportunity to be with a family or having life brings me to tears. He is the total package and so many of them are. Please consider bringing animals back when you travel abroad. Everything is organized for you and your soul job is to love on the puppy or kitten while you go from A to B. I handed this little guy off to a local rescue that is connected to the rescue down in the Bahamas. He will be cared for and monitored for the next few weeks and then will be put up for adoption. The spirit and endurance of these animals is so pure. I feel incredibly touched and moved every time I get an opportunity like this. I am humbled by their love and the trust they put in me as their handler. And as always I am in full admiration of the community that whole heartedly rallies behind all these animals to try and give them a better life.
