Amazing meeting my bro @oldwatchma 🇨🇳 I’m still on a journey traveling to every country in the world! Let me know what other local Muslim Vloggers I should meet up with on my travels!
a little fact: most major universities in China have Halal food canteens built specifically for Muslim students. Ethnic students in China get extra bonus score in the National College Exams. Which i think are GREAT!
Not most of them, it’s actually all of them. It’s required by law to have a halal food hall for students. No matter universities or high/mid schools or elementary schools. All schools must provide halah foods.

@WaleedTravels when did you visit the Nuije mosque area? I had planned to visit but was told it was closed for next 3 years for renovation so didn't bother.
There is also a large Muslim college in Niujie, about 500 meters from the restaurant, and if you want to go to a mosque, the second largest mosque is in Dongsi.
I was born and raised in Beijing so of course my favorite is Peking duck. People from northern China favor duck, although I know there is a famous northeastern dish called iron wok goose stew (铁锅炖大鹅)。 In southern China people love Chinese barbecue and one famous dish is BBQ goose (烧鹅)。 Each different but all delicious 😋
@@jz4057 I have visited Beijing many times and have eaten roasted duck there many times and while it’s very tasty I do find the flavors of the Hong Kong / Guangzhou style of roasted duck more to my liking. The roasted duck from Beijing is more natural and get part of it’s aroma from the the wood so flavors are more subtle. Since I’m from Guanzhou/Hong Kong my taste palate find the local roasted duck meat better seasoned. Do recommend to try the roasted goose!
@@scy3894 you are on point with the seasoning. Unlike the cantonese roast duck/goose, Peking duck is not marinated before cooking. The savory flavor comes from the black bean sauce. You do not eat the duck by itself, but make a small burrito with the sauce, the duck, the green onions and cucumbers. The Cantonese duck itself is a dish that accompanies rice or noodles.
@@nazirnazri Alaikum Salam bro, i don’t know the exact spot but you can easily find it on Niujie street, just show the outside of the restaurant to some people from this video and you should be good to find it

Assalamualaikum, bro. Also, you should ask a Chinese Muslim about their life there. It would be important to know how they’re doing-whether they’re free to practice our religion or if they face any restrictions. We often see them living seemingly well, but I wonder how things are for them mentally. As fellow Muslims, it’s our duty to be aware of their situation, especially considering what happened with the Uyghur Muslims a few years ago. Finally, I’m a bit confused-why are the waiters and waitresses wearing transparent masks? Is it because of COVID-19, or is it for hygiene purposes?
For hygienic purposes. Chinese are cautious about hygiene especially after Covid, wearing masks in east Asia is quite common, for example it’s very popular in Japan. Also you need to check out other youtubers’ videos showing Xinjiang and the life of Muslim there to understand if the main stream media has told the whole story.
what are your thoughts regarding the palestinean refurgess causing commotion in kuala lumpur case? heard they are going to be sent back, youve visited malaysia and have saw multiple evidence that malaysia stand with palestine, but people seem to think that malaysia's at fault here so what say you?
Halal means the food source must be clean and hygienic, the animals that we slaughter must not be mistreated, sick or dead on transport. For slaughter we cut the animal arteries by a sharpened knife, it must be done smoothly and once and not within the sight of other animals. We say a prayer to Allah to bless the meat and and ensure the blood flows out, this ensure the meat is clean. We can only slaughter and animals which are not predators, have no claws. We also are not allowed to eat animals that live in land and water like turtles. As you already know we don't eat pigs because of their unclean nature . We as Muslim in the absence of Halal food can eat Jewish Kosher. As for ingredients we aren't allowed to use wine / beer in our cooking but vinegar though is fermented and contains minute traces of alcohol is allowed. I hope that information helps. @@lorienalberts8737 haha halal is basically just a way you slaughter the meat that makes it permissible for Muslims to eat it. Before coming I wasn’t thinking there was gonna be many halal restaurants
@@lorienalberts8737to add more: Halal foods should be made very clean. If there's even a little bit of dirt in the food, then it's considered haram. Even using unclean utensils will make the food made haram. Overall, except for the way it's slaughtered, Halal food = very clean and sanitary food
