It's heartbreaking that some people have to suffer through things like motor neurons disease. It is a horrible thing no one should ever have to go through. I hope Marcus fights as hard as he can. He was a warrior during his playing time with Huddersfield, Ipswich and Sunderland and he is still a warrior today. Stsy positive and strong Marcus!
My first footballing hero, we all idolised Marcus at Rovers. Loved seeing him go on to do it at every club level. A fantastic striker, goal scorer and an even better human💙🤍
One of the nicest footballers I have ever met ,so down to earth and no airs and graces and I met him after the Exeter Vs Tottenham pre season friendly a few years ago
Huddersfield hero, probably my favourite player but more than that, a gentleman and lovely guy. Remember him turning up in the away end at Barnsley after he left us, no air or graces. All best the best Marcus, a true legend. ❤
Very sad, Marcus was our best player in the 90s at Huddersfield and it killed us when he went to Ipswich in 2000, but he had a good couple of years in the premier league which he deserved so can't begrudge him for moving on at the time.
Top man, same attitude in life regardless that he had as a player. One of the nicest lads I've ever know to play for Sunderland. 1 in 3 striker and a proper gentleman, keep fighting marra, I know you will.
What a guy, we are all with you Marcus!! Remember him as a very young player scoring a chip for Bristol Rovers vs my team Portsmouth in 1992-3! The glory years
We are with you EVERY STEP OF THE WAY Marcus, youare a legend, had a lovely char to you at Plymouth argyle with my wife venetia, love colin, itfc forever 💙
He is putting on a very brave face here. The illness is utterly horrific and terrifying. The stress on individual sufferers and families is enormous. Why medicine still can’t find a way to alleviate MND is hard to understand. It’s an illness where they diagnose you and can literally offer you nothing by way of treatment to slow progression. Sending love and prayers to everyone facing this cruel illness ❤🙏
Bradford city supporter who 1st saw this guy when he was at Bristol rovers n got 4 against, absolute fckin dynamite! Marcy marcus stewert, keep fighting fella 💪
terrible disease, its sad how it affects many athletes, i don't know whether there's any connection, remember stewart on match of the day years ago for ipswich and sunderland, keep fighting mate
