Hi, I usually start out with 220 grit wet/dry. If it's really rough, I use a 180. I finish with a 600 and then either coat or use a polishing compound. It depends on the quality.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve found pieces that have thick layers of white, and show signs of colour, but sand down into nothing. No colour. Perhaps those pieces are of poor quality? Do you still have pieces for sale?
Yes some of the white, bleached pieces can be frustrating. They look like they have a lot of potential, but the color never brightens. I can fix you up with raw stuff if you like. I can be reached at albertarep@hotmail.com @@ericzboya5580
