- CONTEXT: Crowsong is rejected from the moment she's born because of her strange, white fur when the rest of her family is a strong lineage of black furred cats.
While young she's still quite positive she can be accepted, maybe even by her resentful father (whom believes she isn't his daughter and tells this to himself and the clan until they all believe it. Although. somewhere deep inside he knows it's not true, and that she is his kit after all.)
ALSO: She is supposed to do a cool transition from kit to older at 0:48 but my wonky inconsistency in size makes that a bit missable :,))))
I abandoned this project for quite some time (the wip has been up on patreon for about a month) I knew I had to finish it, this thing doesn't play a huge part storywise but it gives some insight to her early days.

I love the idea that she loves the moon because it's so white and bright among all the darkness around it; symbolizing that even though the moon stands out in all the black around it, it can still shine bright.

This has to be one of my favorite animatics ever. There’s just so much emotion, and she looks so fluffy; I love your art style. Amazing job-I just hope Crowsong isn’t consumed by darkness forever. This video makes her seem like an adorable badass; I hate how awful her family is to her. I hope she can find some cats who accept her for who she is-and that she can accept herself too.

I just read her Toyhouse page and, knowing now that she felt comfort from the moon due to their similar pale color, gives this animatic a whole new meaning.

I love this! The art is amazing and the emotions are so real, you can hear them and really understand it when you watch this. I love the eyes and details in this! Especially when we get the close up of the eye, seeing the moon’s reflection! It is all just so amazing and beautiful!

This is SO FANTASTIC! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of having a white-furred cat in a family line of black ones- I actually invented a similar story to myself a year or two ago! I had essentially divided the cats into three groups- White cats with blue eyes, black cats with red eyes, and everyone else. A white cat spirit was reincarnated into the black cat group, and I guess it was meant to unite the three? I don't know because it wasn't a fully fleshed out idea, but I do REALLY ADORE what you've done with this sort of thing! It's fantastic and original and beautiful :D

Aww, thank you! I should really write that as an actual story sometime, if I can ever motivate myself to do it haha- maybe at least give the cats names, since I didn't even do that XD I had the white spirit cat who was reincarnated (two names, one for the spirit and one for the reincarnate), the black cat (Who I think was the leader?), black cat mate and the two other black kits
