How to use Zipgrade Student Portal

    Quick Tutorial on how to use Zipgrade Student Portal
    INTRODUCTION
    ZipGrade is a grading app that makes grading effortless while capturing, storing, and reporting with useful data on assessments.
    No need to wait for the Scantron machine or sheetfed scanner to grade papers quickly. Students receive immediate feedback and can see their score on a test as soon as they're done.
    Note: You may enable or activate "Student Portal" as well as "Unlimited Grading" once you purchase the subscription.
    This option is for Student Portal to administer quizzes online and allows students to login to take assigned quizzes, each student record will be assigned a random student access code.
    To Begin
    1. Open your browser and type in "www.zipgrade.com"
    *To Register for New user:
    Enter valid email address and add a strong Password (follow steps on screen)
    Go to "My Account"
    Purchased Subscription
    * For Existing account
    Log-in Paid Account
    Enter Email Address and Password
    2. Go to "Class"
    Create a New Class
    Add New CLass
    Enter "Class Name"
    Save Class
    3.Go to "Students"
    * Add New Student
    You have an option to add new student and assign a Student ID individually or import students from CSV file.
    Note: importing CSV requires a field.(First name, Last Name, Zipgrade ID, etc)
    Enter unique Student ID numbers.
    Enter "First Name" & "Last Name".
    Add the student in a "Classes".
    * Importing CSV File (prepare a data and save as csv file using MS Excel).
    "Import Students from CSV".
    "Choose File".
    "Upload".
    "Select Field Mapping".
    Click "Next".
    Return to Students.
    4. Go to "Answer Sheets".
    Create Answer Sheets.
    *Option 1; You can use or downloads answer sheets with different sizes and formats depend on your needs or you can even customized them.
    Choose PDF or PNG file.
    *Option 2: Click "Custom Answer Sheet Wizard".
    Click "New Answer Sheet".
    Enter Unique "Name", click Next.
    Under Sheet Name, prepare a display label for your answer sheet and customized them (Header Boxes), click Next.
    Choose number of student ID digits and lettes of Key version, click Next.
    Define Questions. (What type of exam are you going to used?).
    Choose "Multiple-Choice questions"(Question type, Number of questions and Answer Labels).
    Click "Add Questions".
    Check the Preview then Click "Publish". Note: Once you publish no further changes may be made.
    Click "OK".
    "Custom Answer Sheet is Published"
    5. Go to "Quizzes"
    Add a "New Quiz".
    Enter "Quiz Name".
    Select a Answer Sheet.
    Tick the box for "Open Online Submission".
    Choose "Classess".
    "Save Quiz" (Now you can view and export quizzes: Quiz Details, Answer Key, Online Submission, Quiz Statistics , Item Analysis, Score Distribution, Graded Papers.).
    Click Edit Answer Keys.
    Save Key.
    Back to Quiz.
    For Online Submission: Click "View/Edit Remote Testing Options".
    Note: Make sure that your test questions are save on your computer in PDF file.
    Prepare your ready made test questions in PDF File and upload it into "Questions PDF Versions".
    Click "Upload".
    Check the box to confirm the right to upload the pdf file for distribution.
    Click "Choose File".
    Locate the PDF File on your computer and open.
    "Upload Selected File" .
    (Teachers will generally use either 'Verified Submission' or 'Open Submission'. Few cases call for both.
    If you have distributed student ID numbers and student access codes, you will want to use 'Verified Submission'. If you have not, you will want to use 'Open Submission').
    *For "Verified Submission"
    Create New Quiz Assignment.
    Options to Set Assignment window start and end, Set time limit, Show Score on Completion and missed, Submit Limit.
    "Save Quiz Assignment".
    "Assignment Save".
    *For "Open Submission"
    Options to Set Time Limit, Auto submit abandoned Papers, Require Student ID.
    6. Assessment
    Congratulations your done! You can now administer online quiz/exam for students.
    7. The students will now use their access code to login to the website. "zipgrade.com/s/".
    Enter "ZipGrade Student ID" and "Student Access Code" , then Click Login
    (The teacher will provide the assinged Student ID and generated Access Code by zipgrade exclusive for student).
    Student Portal (Student are now ready to take the "Assigned Quizzes").
    Click "Assigned Quizzes".
    Click "Begin Quiz".
    Student will tick the box for agreement.
    Click "Begin Quiz Now".
    (The time is now ticking)
    Once Done Click "Review and & Submit to Teacher".
    "Go back to edit Responses" if still have time or "Submit to Teacher" already to see the result/score.
    Return to Student Portal
    Logout
