Glad you like the quilt. I was thinking wall hanging not baby blanket. Got your back on that Michelle. Just like the tow truck, FJ, rollback and Willys, it’s a one of a kind!
Quilting is a lost art for many. My mom was taught by her mother. My sister's, all professional women, learned how to do it from mom and Grandma. They don't quilt as a past time but know how to do it and appreciate the hard work that goes into it. I have a quilt my mom was putting together before she passed. I need to find someone local to me to finish it. Everything in a tub just needs sewed and padded right.
Quilting, looming, embroidering, clothes making, and knitting are all becoming lost arts... used to hang out with my grandma and great grandma and be in awe of some of some of the things they created with their hands! I learned from them how to cook, bake, and make confectioneries...
I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THESE PEOPLE ARE THE REAL DEAL, I have visited and seen 1st hand this is the BEST off road channel on you tube. I am proud that I had the opportunity to meet them. Semper Fi.
@@williamuskoski1385, don't know much about tweakers do you? They don't care about property lines. Good thing about tweakers, if they end up missing, no one is looking for them.
I, myself, have enjoyed this channel for a long time. Great story, great family and especially the spicey girl, grandma Lolly. Tom has been the hands, arms, back and mind that Paul couldn’t grow. Tom is a plus for all. Wish all of you the best.
My Suburban has the 4L80E factory and it's about the only thing in the rig that hasn't needed attention over the last 12 years. Besides filters and fluid changes.
My Mom had an 'Employee of the Month' T-shirt she used to wear at the small RV park she owned. Shewould get congratulations on a regular basis. She also had no employees. 😂
Marianne you are so generous and talented! I see how much you love Paul and Michelle. Great work on the quilt. Most peeps won't know how much time and energy you put into it. YOU ARE AWESOME!
Two things that never fail for fabrats: an awesome video and transmission problems. Glad you were able to stitch it up. Id like to see or know your technique for welding cast aluminum. Ive noticed that you never hesitate when the situation comes along but i also know its not easy. The guys ive watched videos welding aluminum, act like its the worst thing ever with all the trash. But this is probably the first time I've seen you gwt frustrated with it. Idk i also understand if you don't want to catch flak for doing it your own way. See y'all Wednesday. Thanks Michelle.
I think Tom's dedication to the cause is obvious. I want to see an episode where Paul builds Tom an awesome offroad truck/recovery vehicle and surprises him with it. Come on Paul, make it happen...
Paul your dad would love to see how much you have done to his old homemade tow truck. Keep up the amazing work I have 4 son's and I love to see how the love of vehicles brings your family together.
Grandma seems to be running through her milage intervals quite fast..... She's got a FabRats sticker on her back window; that's the love of a mother right there.... your No.1 fan...✌️✌️🇰🇪🇰🇪
I think Maryanna should be knocking those mini quilts out and sending them to grandma to sell and given 85% for the time and material. Im sure there are tons of folks out there that want one of those right now.
Paul, I'd just store the drivelines with the transfer case, so that you've all-of-them to-go in case something happens to the new one. Won't leave you waiting for weeks. So order new ones from Adams and be done with that problem.
17:40 .. What I do is make a custom dipstick, that goes through the floor ... right above the spot it attached to the transmission :) Makes it easier to check the fluid level too.
The comments from grandma reminded me of a story from years ago. My sister was a real estate agent in Memphis and had done pretty good for herself. One of the first things she bought for herself was a new Lexus SUV. When she was visiting our mother in Florida my mom remarked how my sister was doing well enough that she could soon buy herself a new Cadillac. Mom had no idea what a Lexus was or how much they cost. 😅😅😅😅
ok Paul you may as well install some rear steer in the rat rod wrecker. it is in the shop after all. and it won't take too long. you KNOW you want to do it .
So close yet so far! Good recovery on the broken bell housing. To bad the drive lines have to be shortened, but worth it to get the overdrive! Can't wait to see the next video!
Paul, another day another Tow Truck upgrade! Congrats to you and the crew including Michelle who classes up the joint when she's around! Gotta get Grandma's Lexus in sooner, that oil was past its sell by date!
I believe you need the cover on the bottom of the Trans under the tourqe converter. That helps brace the bell housing and prevent cracking. Most likely got left off before and that caused the cracks
Tom does what has to be done, not a procrastinator or woosie like everyone else that depends on everyone else to do the job. Congrats to Tom. Old school, getter done.
Funny seeing this video pop up this morning - I rewatched the Sep 29, 2023 video last night showing what a BEAST the wrecker is! Looking forward to watching this one in full tonight.
My dad was a master tech for 45 years and he always had volleyball knee pads on so he could comfortably kneel on concrete and other things while working on things . Love the videos guys. This shop is amazing
I have used my hockey pads when I had to mark a few hundred points on the metal roof for the bolts . But you can wear them volleyball pads all the time ✓
Make sure Grandma Loli's Lexus has the revised oil cooler line, it's a Toyota 2GR-FE killer. Just the night before this video posted my son came home from work and said someone oiled down his parking lot at work. The driver left an oil trail entering and existing the lot and his only purchase was 2 quarts of oil. The vehicle was a Lexus SUV.
Always enjoying your content. I got one suggestion, maybe it's no big deal but old school welding up cracks we drill out the ends of the cracks to help stop the spread then welder up. Just a suggestion.
I love watching your videos and your family is very special and everytime i watch your videos i consider your family part of my family too and i learn alot from your videos
Paul you have to add filler rod when welding aluminum. It will shrink crack if you don't. If I was welding that I would be shoving as much rod as I could get in there. It cleans the garbage out of the cast and makes it much stronger.
Make sure gramma Loly does regular synthetic transmission fluid changes and it will last forever from my experience! We have over 300,000 on the original transmission on ours and it shifts perfectly!
Glad you like the quilt. I was thinking wall hanging not baby blanket. Got your back on that Michelle.
Just like the tow truck, FJ, rollback and Willys, it’s a one of a kind!
Beautiful quilt
The quest bedroom would not be a bad place? if it does not make it to a wall.
The quilt made it to the announcement couch it's on the back of the couch seen it in an announcement video
Thank you, Marianne! The details in this are incredible! You are very talented!
That was sweat of you to make that for them
Marianne did awesome with that quilt. So much talent from my hometown hidden in those hills.

Put that quilt away and give to landon or jace when they have their first kids, perfect baby blanket.
Marianne did a Phenomenal job on that Quilt, great looking Piece
I gotta say, Cooper is an excellent addition. Smart as a whip and whitty enough to keep up with the guys while staying respectful.
That quilt is a blue ribbon winner at the county fair for sure. Those are mad skills.
same thought. great quilt.
Grandma lollipop is a firecracker!
Don't worry about the haters! We love the family fun! Keep that fancy toyota running good!
I love grandma's attitude and grammar. She a keeper.
I have a Lexus es350 with the same motor as "Grandma's" Lexus, and it has 405,000 miles on it and is still going strong as my daily driver!
"It's a toyota" close, but it's a toyota on steroids
it's still running cuz it's not usdm
@@geneortiz6334 it wasn’t made in Mexico either!
Tom is a go getter good to have him on your team❤
How come Tom never seems to rep the Rats merch?
Tom certainly seems like a good guy to have around the shop. Everyone needs a guy around the shop, so you might as well have a good one.
I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THESE PEOPLE ARE THE REAL DEAL, I have visited and seen 1st hand this is the BEST off road channel on you tube. I am proud that I had the opportunity to meet them. Semper Fi.
In case nobody else has mentioned it.Reminder put the full doors on the wrecker! 😂
It is always great to see Michelle in a video! I always think of her as Paul’s cheerleader.
I admire y’all’s freewheeling attitude- it’s oh well, well just work with what we have. Nothing is ever easy.
Nice work Tom and Coop! You're both an awesome addition to the Fab Rats family!
Just a suggestion paul leave a toolbox in the graveyard, in one of the junk vehicles, so you'll always have tools
I was about to leave the same comment, leave some old tools in one of the wrecks in the junkyard 😂🤣
Great, until some tweaker finds it.

Good thing about tweakers, if they end up missing, no one is looking for them.
Paul finally gets a transmission that works so there's only one thing left. Change it out for a different transmission.
I LOVE the quilt and the job getting the wrecker upgraded.
Feet hanging over up on a lift is my style. But when tom said he had to take his ring off, was another kind of commitment. Good on ya bud..

Shout out to Maryann for her amazing quilt!!
Tom should be "Employee of the month" for his jumping in and doing the dirty jobs.

That was so nice of that lady to make that quilt for you guys👍
You got a beautiful shop there Paul
✊🇺🇸
You have some seriously loyal and loving fans.... The hand made fab rats blanket is proof...
We agree!
I think that quilt would look good in the new shop on the wall or in Michelle office. That was beautiful
Tom rocks. Marianne does amazing work. My wife quilts and nothing is easy about it. Rat rod wrecker is pretty cool too.
True love there Paul says he loves beautiful and looks directly at Michelle

When Tom was on the engine compartment with his legs out, it looked funny because it looked like the truck was eating Tom.
Cut that bell housing off and get one of the many SFI bolt on replacements. A few of us run them on our crawlers. Way better alternative
love that the trans is going to have to be pulled again.... to replace the bell housing. You never see all the cracks.
Paul you are a lucky man. The team is great and your wife is a fine lady.
Awesome quilt, Marianne! RRW is such a cool build. Nice to see it get some upgrades!

As Paul always says, they live in the middle of nowhere. She's racking up those country miles just going the Archie's.
Everything I build gets a GPS speedometer. I don’t have to worry about gears, tire size and such. Good stuff guys.
Not reliable tho. Gadgets are crap.
I have to disagree Jack. If they were junk, I wouldn’t use them.
Just when you think the tow truck can't get any better, along comes an upgrade. Just an awesome rig, well done Paul.

While you have the Two Truck in the shop, Don't forget to put the winter doors back on. Still some cold weather ahead!!!🥶
