In the yakuza world, facing expulsion is more of a legal trickery. It happens a lot when one is arrested. It's a way to get you 'off-the-books', but you are able to come back and have dealings with them. Being expelled is a complete burn out. You can not even TALK with any yakuza, under pain of death. The fact that Kiryu is only expulsed for the killing of a patriarch, (a very serious crime under yakuza law), says a lot.

I just finished Yakuza Kiwami and loved every second of it!! I've always knew about the Yakuza series but never played it and now that i did, i am in love with the series!! ❤️ As soon as the credits for Kiwami ended, i went on the PlayStation store and bought Kiwami 2 straight away 😂❤️
yes, Kiwami 1 and 2 are upgraded versions of the original yakuza's to bring them to modern consoles, a good thing since the first 2 games can be a bit rough to play on their original consoles
