    Good and beautiful work! I learned a lot, for which I am very grateful. After thinking about it, I see some inconsistency - there is mud on the armor and fenders, but not on the tracks.

      Thank you very much! The tracks received the same mud splatter effect like the rest. I just did not film it. But they are not that muddy in general like they could be i agree.

    I have a hard time with figures. I haven’t used any really in any of my builds but I paint them for practice. Sprues and Brews has a good figure tutorial if you haven’t seen it, similar to your method.
    That’s what I try to do anyway. Watch a bunch of different ways to do something and try to figure out a mixture that works for me. I like the airbrush idea for speckling, I’ll have to give that a try.

      I watched Sprues and Brews and Nightshift to get an idea how to paint figures. Watching different people and their techniques is a really good way to learn a bunch of things to try out yourself

      @@dreamzzscalemodelling the porsche one tracks are far better imo than the henschel ones ,the way the connect is better..on henschel they tend to pop out of edge joins...so far as I had to glue in situ ..kits tho are great imo...good etail...metal barrel and some decent PE

    I have some more questions, I hope you don't mind :D 1. can you please tell more about gloss/Matt coat, since I am a beginner, how many layers it takes, why do you spray it, etc? If you can share some other info, I would appreciate it very much. 2. What is "white spirit" liquid? 3. Can we paint parts like the hammer, iron rope etc separately from the tank base, I think it will be much easier? Thank you very much for the reply in advance.

    • @dreamzzscalemodelling
      @dreamzzscalemodelling  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can ask as much questions as you want. I will try my best so answere them :) 1. I usually apply 1 layer of clear varnish after i finished painting. I use water based acrylics for the camo, tools, details, etc. For weathering effects i usually go with enamel based products. And the enamel products have a risk of attacking the acrylics because their thinner (white spirit) is a lot more agressive. The clear coat protects the acrylic colors from this thinner. And at the end i use another layer of clear varnish to protect the enamel effects again. 2. White spirit is the thinner used for enamel colors/effects. Its sometimes called Terpentine aswell. 3. You could paint all tools and accessories seperatly aswell. That would make painting them eaiser but leaves you with more small parts while building and you have to glue them later with super glue which may leave visible marks. But painting them seperatly or on the tank is purely a personal choice and both have their pros and cons. I hope i could answere your questions :)

      @@dreamzzscalemodellingFirst of all, thank you very much for your time, I really appreciate it! So you put a gloss coat two times, and at the end a matt coat, right? As far I saw on the video. One more question for today 😂 Can I use other type of paint other than this enamel paint?

    • @dreamzzscalemodelling
      @dreamzzscalemodelling  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this case i added an extra one to protect the decals. It was basicly: acrylic colors -> gloss varnish -> decals -> gloss varnish -> enamels -> matt varnish. Gloss Varnish makes the surface smoother for decals and lets the enamel effects flow better. Matt Varnish at last because the real tank would not be shiny in real life. Of course you can choose other paints then enamel ones. You just have to search if the effect you want to achieve is possible with non enamel products

    I have one more question DreamZz: you’ve got a battle-damaged Tiger II. It took two direct hits to its front glacis which was one of the thickest and hardened in the War. Whatever anti tank vehicle or emplacement knocked that tank out was big and close enough to penetrate a King Tiger (not an easy feat). Did you contemplate fire/explosion/smoke/ammunition cook-off on this build? If not, why? I AM NOT BEING CRITICAL. I’m simply more of an intermediate modeler learning from obvious professionals so that I can learn. I often like to ask professionals like DreamZz about their choices so that I can adapt techniques and build plans to my own. Many high echelon modelers use historical references as guides and often factor in real world experiences and ballistics into their builds. Obviously DreamZz made the choice not to and I’m sure he has a reason. Forgive me if this was already covered in the comments

    • @dreamzzscalemodelling
      @dreamzzscalemodelling  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Dont feel bad for asking questions :) I think calling it "damaged" was a little bit of an translation mistake from my part. Those two hits on the front plate were meant to be non penetrating hits. I thought that maybe a lonely Sherman got lost from its group and was suddenly infront of the king tiger. The Shermans 75mm gun would not have been able to penetrate the Tiger obviously. It fired two shots, both failed to penetrate, and then the King Tiger took out the sherman and went on. It was more of a scenario i thought of myself without any historical references. I hope i managed to explain my intentions a little more clearer this time

    • @dreamzzscalemodelling
      @dreamzzscalemodelling  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I dont have a set ratio. To be honest most of the time i just eyeball it until it feels thin enough. I try to get the paint thinned enough until i can see the bristle color from my brush i use for mixing. But i dont think thats an easy explanation. If i had to guess its like 50/50 for most colors
