    I like the simple yet classy look of the guitar. The Muse series did a good job with that 😀

    Splitting the tone gives it a more jangly sound. I definitely like having that option if the need arises. I am very impressed with this guitar. I read that it also has what they call a treble bleed circuit that's supposed to help at lower volumes. That is a big plus! Honestly the clambering and the fact it is light does make a difference for guys like me. I'm coming up on 62 and having a lighter Les Paul will really help. I currently have one that is just under 9 lbs and one that is a little over 9 lbs. My back can use the break, as I have had two back surgeries. Thank you for this review. I was considering getting one of these, but this video sealed the deal for me!!! From the ones I have seen online they run about a pound lighter than the ones I have, and that is a lot when it comes to guitars so I'm definitely going to get one!!

    It looks really nice. The Epiphone lineup for 2020 is good across the board. Im not a big fan of coil splitting but it's still a nice LP. The 1959 standard is one I would like to play.

    • @bsideguitar

    i really appreciate your time to explain the split coils. lots of reviews skipped or jus solo'd & didn't really explain. appreciate that 👍

  • @Colhogan06
    @Colhogan06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    This guitar also has a treble bleed circuit that will get overlooked in reviews. The treble bleed circuit helps at lower volumes. So if you are like me and have a night worker in the house, then you have to keep the volume down during the day. The coil splitting and phase switch are great options to have at this price, but add the treble bleed circuit and it's a grand slam!! I am definitely getting one of these. I have only heard one slightly negative review on this guitar and I felt the reviewer was actually looking for stuff to be negative about. When you hear a certain amount of sarcasm in the reviewers voice right from the start, you have to wonder what their agenda is. At any rate their review disappointed me so much that I unsubscribed to their channel. That is saying a lot as I had really valued their opinion, up to that point. But it's not hard to tell when someone has an agenda. Just the way they handled the guitar from the beginning said it all. I don't have the kind of money that guy has so making a $500 investment on a guitar for me is saying a lot. There are cons, i know that. But none that would make me shy away.

    Best thing about these is the shape of the neck and nut width especially if you have smaller hands. I have a new epi sg classic worn and the neck feels way to flat and wide. Also the pickups are surprisingly good.

    In India the Muse is priced at an equivalent of $550 and the ESP EC256 at $420. At a 30% premium would you recommend the Muse over the 256. I haven't tried the Muse yet, but the EC256 with the limited time I had with it, it was comfortable to play but I guess was missing out on a bit of "les-paul-ness" if that makes sense.

    Saw yer review of the SG Muse. Methinks I'll be going after the SG Muse first, mainly because I don't have a SG in my herd, whilst I already have 6 LPs so am not in a rush to get another LP (altho I plan eventually getting a LP Muse as a lightweight alt for my HEAVY 2012 Agile AL-3010SE, which IS my #1 LP).
    The closest thing I have to a SG is my 2013 Epiphone Limited Edition Genesis Deluxe Professional in Transparent Gray Burst. It's a nice git, but like the 3010, tis a tad heavy and is somewhat rare (so I wouldn't wanna gig with it).

    They look awesome. I was looking at the Epiphone Les Paul a d SG Muse yesterday. Les Paul was on sale, SG too possible. I like the white metallic and the black metallic on both guitars and the sleekness no pickguard, transparent clear knobs, lack of pick guards especially on the SG. This green looks pretty cool too.
    From what I hear, sound good too.

    this would need to be modded with gold or amber pickups and a pickguard then I would be happy, the muse series was awkwardly priced at only 50 more than the worn series but cheaper than the 50/60 inspired by gibson models that came in "normal" les paul colors, would be interesting for epiphone to share which lines sold well in 2020

    I wonder why Epiphone came out the MUSE series because Gibson never made a MUSE series. This is one year later do you still have yours? I still have mine even though the frickin maintenance men at Canan Towers apartment complex in Shreveport Louisiana stole my Squires Bullet Strat and Tele and most of all my Epiphone Hummingbird and LoL an unplayable Garry and left my LP Muse, Washburn c5ce, Bullet Mustang while I was in the hospital but the police said they've been trying to prove it because it's happened to others and the hallway camera happened to be out of order. How would you compare it to the Epiphone LP 59 Standard Reissue with the Gibson burst PAF pick-ups?
