Jeep compass is a really well built and practical suv with good off road capabilities, but people who can manage with a little less quality and off road capabilities, compass is expensive for them and Harrier will be better or seltos for them.

I dont believe Jeep can be compared with MG, Tata or Kia.

Drove Jeep and Seltos, what the owner said ia absolutely true the power Jeep generates is phenomenal no comparison there, also Jeep looks planted at high speeds. However, this vehicle is a bit costly for the middle class. If Jeep could reduce the pricing by couple of lakhs, I think they can pull in lot of buyers going the Korean way.

Rear seat is cramped in compass. Can't seat 3 people comfortably.
Failed bs6 engine. I own jeep compass 4x4 diesel auto. Alternator went dead at only 13000 km. They replaced and again the alternator problem came back at 23000 km. Not worth spending big bucks on this failed car. DON’T BUY IT.

I will go for harrier because it's top model ls around four lakh cheaper than jeep and road presence is much more than the compass ,now new harrier have 170 bhp power same as jeep ,Panaromic sunroof ,better alloy than jeep,electric adjustable sheet,autodimming mirror . I think haarier is best package as compared to jeep and hector and much cheaper than jeep so my choice is harrier anyday

the thing with Jeep is equipment levels are not upto the mark.. but the build quality and generally the overall quality is far better than anything else in that price point.. also it's a premium brand as compared to run of the mill brands like Hyundai, Suzuki, Tata that sell budget cars.. but I just wished it had more airbags in lower and mid variants considering the price point it is at
Anytime any day I will pick either the harrier , seltos or hector over compass
1) For same size with more features and saving 4-5 lacs I would prefer seltos
2) For all terrain driving I would prefer harrier
3) much bigger size and more features for city I would choose hector
After selecting all these still you save 3-5 lacs and compass does not have cruise control , powered seats in limited 4wd , if you want sunroof that in limited+ then on road price will breach 25 lacs , least comfortable of the lot , not good fuel efficiency returns in city and maintainence on the higher side too

Compass is always on that much discount. Harrier and Hector diesel top variant cost 20.5-21lakhs. But with extra 1/1.5 lakhs what we get is high amount of safety, quality like a luxury car, best possible driving dynamics and sure-footed reliability(Tata & MG suffer from reliability problems). For offroading capabilities, Compass is a bit higher than harrier even if it is 2wd. No Comparision when it comes to AWD.
Saksham Hooda compass 4wd or top model limited or limited+ on road according to Delhi comes at 24-26 lacs range whereas hector top comes at 19.5 to 20and harrier also till 20 , the safety kit is also same with 6 airbags , esp , traction control , hill hold , hill decent , cornering stability for much less price and longer wheelbase and high amount of space and half the maintainence cost than compass with excellent service and maintainence package provided by MG motors both are a better choice and with harrier giving discount of flat 1.75 lacs now harrier can be bought under 19 lacs

No doubt koraq is the best among them followed by compass and then troc. Troc is a cbu so price wont work in its favor. Also koraq is super expensive though worth it. Where jeep shines is in its pricing . For 27 lakhs on road you can get trailhawk which is as offroad capable as a fortuner only let down is a low ground clearance and ambiguous low ratio in gears. It doesnt lack too far behind in terms of drivability with other two. So if you are someone who want luxury and sense of assurance but cant afford audi or merc then koraq could be your pick. If you want an all round package compass should be the pick. Troc isnt on sale right now so cant comment on it

I've done two golden quadrilateral routes in #JEEP from north to south and back
I've not driven a more stable and comfortable car till date as compared to all the others who even dare think they're a competion to it in terms of power and ride and driving dynamics.
This is atttiributed and compared to BMW x1, Audi Q3 and Merc A series, Tucson, Tiguan, Kodiaq etc league.
It's beyond me when I see VFM kinda mentality when it's compared to Seltos, Harrier n Hector, even XUV & Creta.. Lolollll
There is just no moolah in comparison.. The wise ones should and would know, eventually.
Makes me wanna share my recent experience too.
I did emergency travel and my "Jeep Compass Ltd +" was LITERALLY LOADED with month's of stuff to keep me occupied with. With rear seat folded and a place for one pax (passenger) to sit. A navigator in front, this was gonna be my second 'golden quadrilateral' trip (Mumbai - Gurgaon).
I started from Mumbai and left for Navi Mumbai to pick my first pax. We started from Navi Mumbai by 10:30 am and arrived Udaipur by 11pm, our first halt.
Second pax occupying rear seat, we started at 10:30a.m. again, and reached Gurgaon peripheral highway that connects to Sonipat directly, a beautiful Stint!
Crossing Haryana by 7p.m. I was entering Himachal by midnight. After dropping my two pax in Shimla, at 3a.m., I parked this beast 🔥○|||||||○❤ finally!
Without fatigue, this 1900 km trip was done by the second day! I still had the energy ⚡, had a nice warm cuppa ☕ before I could call it a night.
Only to wake up to a beautiful seven valley view!

Front lower bumper has a flexible plastic. It is for aero dynamics of the car.It is doesn't effect it even if it touched the ground. It will flex and get pass.. If you really want bit off road worthy Jeep go for Trail Hawk.

Hector is basically Baojun 530 which is launched in India under MG badge (since MG is owned by Baojun). It's like Tata selling harrier in Europe with Land Rover badge. So called "British" MG Hector also sells in Phillipines as Wulling Almaz and in South America as Chevrolet Captiva. So there's no escaping the fact that Hector is a Chinese car.

Harrier is good SUV. But it is still 4x2 and will have body roll. Compass is 4x4 and feels and drives like car adaptable stiffer suspension. Best of both world inroad/offroad. If budget allows Jeep is the best SUV.

Seltos gtx in petrol is 140bhp and its dct automatic is very smooth and comforting. Car isse sasti bhi hai and features bhi zada deti hai but yea definitely compass is more powerful but itna farak nahi hai. Go for seltos.
Yup bro seltos 140 bhp is faster 0-100 around 9.5 sec. Whereas jeep compass is around 10.95 sec in 0-100 but dynamics may be better in jeep because of selective damping control
In video he says power to weight ratio but i think seltos has an advantage in power to weight ratio compared to jeep in acceleration department

Who the hell is this guy bro , who the hell said him that the kia seltos weighs 1.6 ton in disguise of the HTX + variant its maximum weight is around 1350 to 1380 kg and the diesel engine in the seltos is more than enough for its weight and the compass even though being an monocoque chassis still weight around 1600 to 1700 kg which is too much and in todays date its not worth the money to buy this car and instead buy the innova crysta 2.8 z or the octavia , jeep after sales service is pathetic and we may not know when would they leave the country and go , just like fiat and GM because of terrible sales of the compass
They haven't properly given this car an update. Its pretty much the same for the last 3 yrs. They haven't launched any new car either, they are losing interest in Indian market just like fiat.
Car owner has done extensive research ,its truly commendable.
Still i will say that whats point in buying best product with worst after sale service. No response from Jeep too, that means top management also does not care about Indian customer.
I owned seltos diesel automatic very nice car for city and highway riding not for off-road.. Very good linear power ...weight is around 1300kg not 1600kg.. On road price is 16lac htk plus all the features of maruti zdiplus present.. We can't compare 16lac with 25lac.. Very value for money.. Previously I owned duster when compared to seltos features duster is costly clutch become very hard.. Now compass is very costly when compared to seltos not value for money.. That is why sales are coming down... U can buy one swift car with the money u saved buying seltos instead of compass

First of all the guy seems confused like he picked 4×4 compass and then says kia seltos is underpowered coz of power to weight ratio that's why he didn't pick it, kia seltos doesn't have 4×4 he didn't say that and also seltos is lighter than compass, compass's weight is around 1600-1650 and seltos's is under 1500 and if you're so much into performance then why the fuck are you even looking at seltos diesel, petrol has 140 hp and does 0-100 in 9.7 sec. Also 114 hp in diesel, that's just on paper it's quicker than mg and harrier to 0-100. If you're only into performance then go for compass and i don't think trailhawk is really worth it, cmon it's around ₹33.5 lakh onroad and looking at compass's sale they should have learn from that and given it some additional features coz only ZF gearbox and some minor cosmetic changes isn't gonna sell that thing.
ZF's gearbox is not a cosmetic change, KIA seltos wasn't available at the time.

Apart from the AWD drive in the compass, not a lot separates the Harrier from it, the Harrier is built on a much better platform, everyone will acknowledge how good the Ride and Drive dynamics of the Harrier are, the Compass is no different too. The compass is not meant for serious offroading with its AWD, one needs a 4x4 with low gear ratios for that, so on Highways and Village/broken roads, not a lot separates the Harrier and Compass.. apart from the obvious fact that Harrier is more spacious, and the interiors are more plush, seating comfort is certainly better. Visibility is the only point where compass is better, because of the more upright A pillar.

I don’t feel comfortable ride on jeep compass...Suspension tuneup may b good but Seats are very hard...I feel pain driving it for 150km...I hv driven nexon for 400km but didn’t feel any tiredness...I feel Tata cars very comfortable...

11000/- a year.... basic cost with oil change... there are no issues whatsoever to get serviced... it is just a simple maintenance.

@@DilipKumar-vg8pg have only got it services twice... and have yet not reached the spare part business... thank God!... but Mopar was offering extended warranty for about rs. 40k to 50k ... I realised Jeep has covered most of it for 3 years... so would evaluate car at the end of 3 years and then opt for extended warranty. But, frankly... if you drive good and expertly... I can vou h that there is no better car than Jeep... even after nearly years and more than 10k kilometers.... it feels as good as new... the built is so strong and well designed that I do not envision any faults showing up... even with the electronics...

Had a brief accident with my Jeep Compass recently... had to get it repaired on my own as we always own a 3rd party insurance for all our cars. It was very easy but a bit costly. They also lost my key during the repair work... but were professional enough to replace it free of cost with a new set altogether for safety. The services car runs well... on observation was that the spare parts are fairly priced... the labour is what kills. It is approximately 50% materials plus 50% labour. The car was repaired very professionally at the Ahmedabad workshop... happily driving my Jeep now. It should be noted that the car that hit my jeep by breaking a red signal and hit my car hard was crushed to half while I escaped with minimal scratch and a fairly hefty bill... a case has been registered with the police and awaiting resolution by the Indian courts... the car is awesome. LOVE IT.

Driving dynamics are very good. But built quality is compromised. On bad roads all doors make annoying sound .on service they oilin joints and hinzes but after 15 days same problem.
