Loved your visit to the Cornish coast Clare. I’m going to recommend your channel to my people as I’m sure lots of them will enjoy your glimpses of nature as well as your painting and drawing and your hauls. You deserve a lot more subscribers - how long have you been doing TH-cam?
Thank you so much Diane - I love creating my little videos and hope people find enjoyment from them. I have been doing TH-cam for nearly a year and getting there slowly but surely. Thank you for your lovely comment. 💜🙏
The black capped markers are Pitt pens are technicallly waterproof when dry but will blend when wet on less porous paper or acrylic dry mediums. The coloured capped markers are albrecht durer watercolour markers that will blend with water. I love your seascape sketch!
Thank you so much for that clarification - I definitely need more practice with both sets of pens but love their versatility and vibrancy. Thank you for watching. 🙏💜
I have the whole set of the inktense and love them. You will also love the ionian green and the willow. Those two colors will compliment the ones you already have. Also an art supply addict lol. Love your video. New sub here.
Thank you so much Kym - your kind comment is very encouraging. Looks like ionian green and willow are the next colours on my pencil list. 💖
Love it when you include trips out into nature along side your beautiful art. That chair is a find! What make is it???
I am not a painter of any kind but am very tempted to play with the art supplies you showcase. It’s great to see them in action as I wouldn’t have a clue what they do just looking at them online or in a shop. Thanks Clare 🥰.
Thank you for watching and the chair is fab! It’s on Amazon and it’s a Tommy Bahamas’ chair. Great for sitting on the beach, it’s low to the ground but you can lay right back in it too. 💖
A lovely of combination of an artist life and your art material demonstration.
You've got two different markers there - the watercolour markers and the Pitt Artist pens - the pitt artist ones (colour on barrel) are ink, so you can blend a bit really quickly with water, but they're actually waterproof. Whereas, the Albrecht Durer watercolour markers (colour on caps) are, as they say, watercolour markers and will blend out with water :)
Oh, I see later in the video you clarify this! I do like using the smaller pitt artist pens on really smooth paper for illustrations, I have a few of the bigger ones but haven't given them a go yet
Thank you for clarifying the difference between the two pens - very helpful. 🙏💜
Love the beach chair! What a great idea! ❤
It’s a fab little chair. 💖
Helo. I am glad that I took part in Diane Antone's recommendation to check out this video and your channel. I'm now a subscribed fan.
Hi there! Welcome aboard - I am so pleased you found me. Thank you for subbing. 🙏💜
Ditto!
Beautiful sketch of a beautiful day!
Thank you Patricia - it was nice getting out to paint in warm, sunny weather. 🙏🌻
This came across my feed and, OMG, your soft voice and the sounds of rustling sent my head into a tingly ASMR nirvana. You might consider making this an ASMR channel as well. Lovely tutorial, and thanks for the tingles.
Wow, thank you! I wasn’t even sure of what ASMR is, but have seen it mentioned a couple of times on TH-cam just this week. Had to look up the definition. I am so pleased you liked it. Thank you for watching. 🙏💜
A. Druer are actual lightfast watercolor pigments in a pen; 100% watercolor not ink. (Pro level to boot.) The Pitt Pens are ink. Wonderful seascape!
Thank you so much - I love the Albrecht durer pens, such intense colours.
I've just subscribed, curious about your pencil case, do you have the makers name and is it the right size for holding enough stuff when away, too big or too small?

Here’s the link for the pencil case I use. I have taken it on holiday several times. It has removable pencil holders inside, which I took out. I have a couple of videos that show what I can get in the pack. I love it and use it all the time. Thanks for the sub. 🙏💜
@@Purpleladybirdart Thank you, I was impatient and should have checked out your earlier videos where you linked to it!
@@minxyminx7148 No worries - you is have the link ☺
Lovely video, thanks. Is that the W&N Professional Field Box or the Cotman? Thx.
Thank you so much 🙏 It’s the professional field box - I got it on Amazon and at the time it was at a reduced price. It’s the perfect little box for me so I would recommend it. 💜
@Purpleladybirdart Thx so much! Glad I found your channel! I got the Cotman set very reduced on Amazon, then filled it with the professional series from my tubes, although I realize with W&N the tube and pan formulations aren't the same. It's such a handy cute set for sure!
@@vatiammatri2660 what a great idea ~ thank you for sharing that, I am sure lots of people will follow suit. 💖
Love you so much ❤
oh, thank you for watching 🙏💜
Beautiful beach vlog and painting! I too have and love the intense pencils they are fab.
Thank you Zoe - I am looking forward to building my collection and having a good play with these fab pencils. Lots more colours to explore and collect. Thank you for watching. 🙏▶️
What a noce day at the beach! Tha ks for sharing it with us. About the inktense pencils...I read that they dont rewet like watercolour when they dry. Is this how they work? Thanks for showcasing your new oencils. I am now very curious about them!
Thank you Berlolina, the Derwent Inktense pencils are really vibrant colours and a very versatile medium. I need to play with them more to really understand them. However, I understand that the watercolour dries permanently to enable layering and detail work over the colour that has already been put down. I can’t wait to add more colours to my collection. I have looked at the Derwent website where they sell them fairly cheaply and individual pencils. Have fun! 💖
You’re correct - the inktense don’t re-wet - I’ve used them on fabrics and also taken the colour straight from the pencil rather than drawing with them first.
